Self hosted Question

Hi all fellow self hosters :) Firstly a massive thanks to Mark and David for their assistance in getting me set up. A question for the masses (or anyone that knows the answer :)) When I hook up my self server control panel through mydomain/BT-server, how do I have access to the screens? If their are no screens in the menu, does this mean i've not hooked something correctly somewhere? Thanks all.

Hey Alex@TM, Mark really helped me also in uploading mine to the server. Don't forget, you have to download all the screens/plugins in a zip file and upload to yours where it says upload new screens/plugins. LA

When you download the zipfile (source code from your app). Open it on your computer and in there is a pdf file with the instructions. Got it! Best Regards. Danny

Still struggling @Alex@TM? These are the steps if you haven't already done them. On this screen click on 'Alex@TM's Account' on the top right. On your account screen click 'installed plugins' on the left hand side. Choose a plugin and click to open the details. You'll see a link "Download Self Hosted Version". Download the zip file to your desktop. In your self hosted server, log in and click on 'admin' on top right of screen. Click 'manage plugins' on the left. Click 'Add or update plugins' Upload zip file from your desktop. When it's done, click 'refresh plugins'. Repeat from the start for all the other plugins you want. Hope that helps.

Hi Alex, I think you're thinking that you can access the apps you've created at buzztouch.com from your own self-hosted server. That's not the case. In fact, there's not even a real easy way to migrate them from buzztouch to your server. Basically, what you have is a running copy of buzztouch.com, but where you start totally fresh. This is where a major decision comes in : for your app, will you always want to access them via buzztouch.com, or always access them via self-hosted? That's the tough question, and the one you need to ask going forward. Mark
