Greetings BT Folks - I am thrilled that Santa delivered my new powermac early, good chap that he is. Along with this delivery came xcode 4.5.2 - which I had not been able to download on my old machine; I have a two-part question in migrating into a new computer. Perhaps you could lead me to the right place to find out, or be able to answer the following. 1) What is the easiest way to have a new Xcode set up capable of recognizing your device (iPhone)? Do I create a new provisioning profile? 1) IF I have Xcode 4.5.2 do I have to update to ios 6.0 on my phone to test apps? The only hesitation I have at this time are unfinished BT 1.5 apps not being able to run on 6.0. This is the current error message I get: No provisioned iOS devices are available with a compatible iOS version. Connect an iOS device with a recent enough version of iOS to run your application or choose an iOS simulator as the destination. Thanks as always ~

You don't have to upgrade your iPhone to iOS 6. In fact, if you want to finish the app off, then just download a previous version of Xcode from Apple Dev Center. But you can test your apps on a previous version of Xcode with an iPhone running iOS 6. What needs to be done is simple. Register your iPhone running iOS 6 in Xcode 4.5.2, and then go back to Xcode 4.4.1 and test. Your iPhone will be registered. I had to do this when I was testing my v1.5 app. I had upgraded to iOS 6, and I still tested my apps on Xcode 4.4.1
