Kindly test my app on google play

I published my first app on google play. It is wordpress training. I want some people to test and find either videos load properly or not. I created this app using self hosted version of buzz touch and i used at53 video player for adding videos but i was not able to test the videos on emulator because those were not running on emulator and i do not have device to test this app. So need it tested before people start installing it. thanks

Will try it out for you. Its always a good idea to ask on the forum for beta testers before you publish to store. A good few folks will be happy to test it for you.

Ok. Installed and tested on galaxy s2. Looks great. Works fine on all videos except the "Installation" which throws up error "problem loading video file or stream" Hope this helps Looks to be a good app though.

Hi Mr Stuck, I really appreciate your quick response. Sorry for installation video error, file path was not correct. I have changed it in buzz touch, now when it will ask you to refresh then refresh it and i hope it will work now. Try it now and let me know if still issue is there? Ok i have noted move to sd cart option, i will keep this in mind for next apps. Also i wish to know one more thing, is my app good enough to submit for app store? thanks

Video works now. I don't have a mac so never actually submitted anything to app store but your app looks good enough to me so i don't see any reason why it would not get accepted. Reading the forums I have gathered that educational apps are usually well accepted by the app store. There are also some other things you can do to have a greater chance of being accepted like add a quiz to the app and also add a@GoNothWests notepad plugin to allow users to take notes. Simply adding these can be the difference between rejection and acceptance. Also you need to sync the config file so the message to refresh content message does not appear when being reviewed. Just search the forums for info

Hey @waqasnu, I would also suggest, you have another developer, like @Mr stuck, test it before you submit to the market. LA

@LA i will leave the testing of iphone apps to others as i don't have one. I will get one along with a mac and developer licence once i get better at making apps and learn some more stuff. At the moment im happy scratching around and learning stuff on android. @waqansu it may be a good idea to compile your app again with the changes just in case a user clicks "No" when asked to refresh content as they will get the video load error on "Installation" video. This will also give you the chance to add the move to sd card option as some users may uninstall the app because of this. Just a suggestion but not totally necessary if you don't want to. Its entirely up to you. I am sure @LA May help out with the testing of ios version once you get it running.

It's an older htc so that might be the reason. LA

Could be. It uses html audio tag which has problems playing on anything below android 2.3 so i set the minimum sdk version to 9 so it can only be installed on 2.3 and above. Did it give error could not parse data or something like that?

Its on the store here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.scottishbagpipes It should tell you if your device is not compatible. It is a paid app but you don't have to install it. If it allows install and you wanted to test it then i would of course issue a refund. Its had a few purchases already. Not enough to retire on yet though lol.
