Lost...I'm trying to open a android app in Eclipse that I made & download from buzztouch

I followed the instruction to create a new project from an existing one but in the examples, the pictures my drop down menus look nothing like the examples. There was no create new project from existing source option so I tried making a new one but it gave no place I saw to select the unzipped folder. I also tried inputting it but for some reason it says no project found to input.

S/He said the pictures looked nothing like his/her screen. I had to do some extrapolating setting up Eclipse for Mac, with Eclipse WIN infos. That and the infos were a year old. The video classes are Mac and new, but there's no screen-cap Power Point / Keynote reference companion with it.

Define Bundle? There's so much "short hand" here. There's also a dozen different versions of Eclipse. You read any How-To on-line, and you go to download Eclipse and there's more and newer versions. It's too bad there isn't a version of Eclipse JUST for Apps.

I wish people would record the video for a tutorial. Then write a script. Then record the script and piece together. Its becoming so tough trying to follow video tutorials that are narrated on the fly, while trying to point, click, drag and type.

Have you tried Andromo.com? It doesn't create a .zip you bring in to Eclipse, it creates the .apk you put on your phone!

I haven't....but generally in those cases, they don't provide you the source to the code like buzztouch does. I've investigated tons of solutions for creating apps for the non-coder, and buzztouch is simply the best!

I've got about 45 days into this now. Productivity so far isn't the greatest compared to my 20-year span (1992-2012) of first learning, then producing things with PhotoShop, InDesign, Quark, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, MSOffice, PHP (L A M P), CISCO. Or writing my first web page in late 1994. I did spend 3-weeks creating the listing data for my Maps, which has nothing to do with BT, Eclipse or Xcode, but still, not being able to get the data URL to work means I have to make and download the .apk, which defeats the purpose, which would also require a different notification process. There need to be some kind of debug trace to figure out why the phone isn't using the data URL. If Andromo can create the .apk, BT could too - best of both worlds, .zip or .apk. Plus in Andromo, Maps are live in the editor. No separate ADV Maps key. And my current address is more accurate on Andromo Map that Google Geocode.

The Eclipse/ADV isn't using the data URL either. Not just the phone. Eclipse isn't reporting any errors. Why? is there something somewhere in the .zip that is conflicting? I've tested the URL for spelling. I've validated the JSON. I have one APP with 20 listings that works fine, The one with 300 listings SWOD on refresh data, with no notification.

It sure would be easy to spend a lot of time comparing buzztouch to Andromo with respect to what they each have and don't have. Bottom line is you should pick the service that allows YOU to do what YOU need to do. Most of us here in the forum believe nothing compares to buzztouch!

Choice isn't the issue.
