Hi guys, The time has come...I am to embark on the much acclaimed self hosting. I have decided to use a host such as godaddy and use the 30 bucks a month (a snip may I add) BT api key. I asume I am correct in thinking that one of these packages will be OK, would someone be able to give me a steer please? http://uk.godaddy.com/hosting/web-hosting.aspx?ci=76393 I will no doubt be too-ing and fro-ing with questions, hopefully someone can help and hopefully I do not become too much of a drain! The Linux hosting with GD is ideal, loads of using it and can assist with the setup. You are coming from a place of knowledge after your 1.5 adventures so you should be cool. Are there any advantages with Self-Hosted? Or is it just changes to the appearance?

I to am taking the leap of faith into self hosting, my only concern is installing the plugins. Also, anyone who is a JD man is my kind of friend. Good Luck!

I use Go Daddy and it has worked out great. I set it up a long time ago, and I believe the settings are a bit more tricky when it is first set up...I remember reading that on the forum. Once it is installed, the rest is easy. Updating the plugins is a piece of cake.
