White screen and Hello world when trying ot launch app in emulator

I created a simple app and when I run it on Xcode, everything works as expected. However, I am having some issues with Eclipse. After fighting a number of issues in order to properly start the emulator, I now have e problem with running the app on it. When I try to load it, in the console stays the following: ActivityManager: Starting: Intent { act=android.intent.action.MAIN cat=[android.intent.category.LAUNCHER] cmp=com.example.footieiq/.MainActivity } In the meantime there is a white screen and "Hello world!" sign on the emulator.
