I have been trying to figure this out over the last week or two. If I make changes to my console they are not seen/updated in the app. I have tried making apps from scratch off of self hosted server and through BT. Same results. The data and cloud url's are default. Also, if I press menu, I don't have the option to refresh. It just says No Options, OK-close. I am using 2.0 and just eclipse as it is only in Android. Anyone else having this problem? Have fixes? Thoughts? Thanks. Shane

WOW, got it! I sent @GoNorthWest an updated version of the fixed BT_activity_base.java file. It's the only file that changed. I also updated it on the download server. @Outbreak I would have sent it to you too had I known who we were helping. LOL. Look at this: if(extras.getString("screenDataIsHomeScreen").trim().equals("1)")){ See the quote in front of the 1 but not after...it's OUTSIDE the paren...nuts. Nuts mostly because we rely on the compiler to yell at us for typos like this...and, you would think Eclipse would give a warning or something too. I spent hours the other day looking at this, no luck finding anything. A bit more tonight and bingo! Live and learn....thanks for the patience and the great find.

In Self-Hosted Server > Android - if(extras.getString("screenDataIsHomeScreen").trim().equals("1)")){ is not in my BT_activity_base.java . I created the .zip an hour ago. Most of you in the US are still fast asleep. I am working on 2 map Apps this week. They are clones of each other in terms of the BT setup. The only difference is the config.txt file. One is 60k, the other has lots more addresses and is 309k. Neither notify me that I should refresh. I have to do it manually. The App with the larger config.txt file won't. It sits and spins for minutes until I do a Settings > Applications > TheApp > Force Stop. How do I put some kind of command in to not sit and spin forever? Like a timeout value? I bit on the Self-Server upgrade for $30 hoping things would improve. I've sent 2 issues to my "dedicated rep" since Wednesday, with no response.

And why would the phone sit and spin forever? What do I look for, where?

Great find. I could not figure out why my menu with Image screen would not load the header I had in the file and after I manually inserted the JSON data why it would not refresh with new menu items. I am sorry that I wasted so much of Susan M.'s time. Thanks Mark and David for finding the bug and showing us the code section.
