ipod touch?

I only recently started playing around with iOS and don't have a device to test on and was wondering if the iPod Touch would be a good to test with, I figure I could find a cheap touch online but want to make sure that if testing on a touch is smooth that it will work on an iphone or iPad as well. Thanks! Khalid

yes, you can certainly test iphone/ipod touch apps on an ipod touch. Keep in mind, depending on what type of app you'll be distributing, you'll want to test with multiple device-types, and multiple versions of iOS. You can use the Xcode simulator for most combinations of testing, but a physical device is always recommended as well.
