Day 1

I bought my first Self-Hosting Account today! Been doing BT for about 2 months, over the past 6 months. I'm going to work on my own Apps, and help others. I'm assuming Self-Hosting will fix some of the hosting-related problems I've been encountering. While we all struggle with Xcode and Eclipse, my stronger suits are LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP). And OK pasting and arranging java snippets. I can help people with PHP and HTML Forms. Another thing I do, is voice-over narrations for web videos - like demos and trainings. I hate watching a training video where half of it is bad spellings and backspacing! And the resultant gibberish audio conversation from the typer, that distracts from the learning. You record yourself doing the demo or training video, edit out the bad typing and other mis-steps, write a script, and I'll voice the narration, with professional inflections. I'm old and travel, and work on the road just fine.

If the show fits, I can help! Doing those videos is NOT easy! I started in radio/TV in 1968. keep me in mind, and/or pass the word on to the truly needy!

I just stick music on mine! Can't stand videos where it's all 'ummmm' 'errr' 'like' 'hmmmm'. It's exactly how mine end up and I hate it! And those ones that say 'Let's get straight to the point', then waffle about nothing for 2 minutes! grrrrr Sorry, rant over.
