Hello, I'm Daniel. I have a ton of questions to ask, please answer.

I am daniel, I have heed developing android applications for over 2 years now, and I do not want to learn objective c but i also really want to create them onto the AppStore. This being I also have been an ancient buzz touch fan when it was actually free. This of course when they changed to """free""" I got pissed and left. I then learned the real way to create apps. This however took lots of time to make, so I then found andromo, at andromo.com which they also where free, but then once again became """""free""""" but they where better because it wasn't a monthly fee. So I paid and made a nice app. But this was only from android. Before buzz touch went free they where only iPhone, but now that they are iPhone and android, also that I can run my app on my server I am very interested, meaning I have a lot of questions. 1: When I purchase the self hosted plan, and I have installed it on my website and created, say 6 apps compiled them and released them to the AppStore. If I downgrade to the free version, does that just eliminate later compilations or does it completely cancel out all application use across the market. 2: When I had an old account and you released the self hosting plan, you sent a message and gave me a free key for being one of the first. I used the key and it worked, but within a few months the site went down and all of my stuff didn't work. So why don't I have my free key anymore? 3: ok, say I make an amazing app on my server on my site and finish customizing the app. Can it be possible to change the package name from for example buzz454324$$)&:&?.tjbjc.touch.fufjrjvjdjfj which is supposed to be a generated key, or can I change it to net.auggn.application? 4: Ok this is going good so far, but is it possible to add in admob for iPhone and android? This being could I have advertisements in the same app I compiled, but cross platform.? 5: When I compile the app, can it be possible for it to use an HTML archive from the app (local) instead of constantly downloading JSON files from my server? 6: finally why should I choose buzz touch over other application creators?

For self hosted questions (like #1-3), email [email protected]. He will help you out. I don't have much experience on self hosted so I can't help you there, but I can tell you #6: 1. Better community 2. Simple interface 3. Robust features (plugins) 4. Easy source code download

#6 : Because buzztouch is simply the best development environment on the planet, with the absolute best forum in the history of the internet. But it sounds like you're trying to get a lot for nothing, constantly moving from one free platform to the other. For what you pay at buzztouch, or even for the free account, it's simply unparalleled. Nobody else gives you as much control over your app and the things you can do with it, and you own literally everything about the app. No other service can say that. Mark

I agree with previous statements. BT community is fantastic. I also had looked around prior. Overall BT is most well rounded.

#5 : This is a bit of a confusing question. You can put your config file anywhere, and of course the app itself ships with a config file. If you never make changes to the app, or want to push changes out via an entire app update, you could just take the app offline, and it'll only use the internal config file. Otherwise, if you want to make changes via the control panel, you can literally configure the config file to be anywhere. Regarding HTML files...you can include them with the app, or reference them via a URL. Your choice! Mark

@Auggnet: You've made several remarks and asked several questions. I'll try to address them all. "when it was actually free": buzztouch is still free, this comment confuses me? Yes, we have some general limitations but you can still use buzztouch for free. "This of course when they changed to """free""" I got pissed and left": Same as above, not sure what you mean here. If you got pissed off an left, why are you back? There are tons of folks in our community that are eager to help you, including me, but not if were afraid of you getting "pissed off" and leaving. Strange remark. 1) Self hosted: The API key (the only thing that costs money for self hosters) allows you to package app projects. It has nothing to do with your apps day to day operation. Once you package an app, you dont' need the API key (assuming you don't do this over and over again). 2) "but within a few months the site went down and all of my stuff didn't work. So why don't I have my free key anymore?" Not sure what you mean here. We've had three system outages in three years. One took a few hours for us to find, fix. The others were literally a few moments. We have never "lost" data or changed any account information. We REMOVED lots of API keys from control panels that were unused but reissued them as needed for folks that were actually using them. This was many many months ago. 3) You can change the package name on anything you want. Your projects are your projects. It's challenging for some people to figure out how to do this. It's not hard, just tedious sometimes. 4) You can add anything you want to your projects, like AdMob. They are your projects, in your control. 5) Yes. It takes skill. 6) I don't know why you should choose buzztouch. It's a great solution for tons of reasons. But, my suspicion is that you already realize this, which is why you're back after a few years of exploring different options. Hope this helps.
