Parse differences with 2.0 as opposed to 1.5?

I have had a breeze implementing Parse for Push Notifications when using Buzztouch 1.5. Now that I have switched to 2.0 I am having trouble getting the Production side of Push to work. Could this be a 2.0 thing?

So strange. I have all the same code. For the life of me I can't figure it out. The development side is working. Now that my app has been approved in the apple app store I am can not get the production side working. So frustrating.......

Yeah. See I have 35 buzztouch apps up in the Apple store all which have Parse push notifications. I am pretty hip to the process. I was wondering if anyone had used Buzztouch 1.5 with Parse but then had to alter anything with 2.0? It's killing me.

Ok, it's fixed. What I had to do was all in how the app was signed. The code stays the exact same but I had to sign it with the distribution profile in all 5 fields. In the past I would sign the debug with the development profile and the release with the distribution profile. Seems like signing all of them with the distribution profile did the trick. Now I have to what for the review to know for sure but it worked with the ad hoc profile.

ridge, was it successful? I just did parse, worked great for dev, but for distribution it failed once I tested on a live app. I'm wondering if the fix you just mentioned fixed it? Thanks, David

It has worked well. It used to be that you signed the app with your development profile for debug and distribution for release. Now once your ready to release you have to sign the build in all (5) places with your distribution profile to get PUSH to work with the apple production certificate.

Gotcha - I sent in a update just now and am hoping to god it works with push. Will keep you updated with results. Also sent you a PM, please check :-) actually, could not send you a PM, your private messages are turned off! I'll just post it here then: Just incase it doesnt, becuase I seem to have the worst luck ever - would you be willing to fix my push via TeamViewer if I paypaled you a decent chunk of cash? ($100 or so if it works?). Cheers, David

David, would be happy. No need for payment! I have received plenty of free help here and need to deposit to that side of the Karma anyways. Email me at [email protected] anytime.
