I know that this seams a bit demanding, but I only want a few ideas for an app I'm making. I am not asking anyone to make an Icon for me, I just want a few ideas and opinions. So I am just completely stuck for ideas. I have tried a few designs so far, and they just haven't clicked. I'll give you a quick sum up of the app - It's an app to guide tourists around our very popular town of Woodstock (not the festival, it's a town in the UK where Winston Churchill was born!). It's a small town, but it attracts many tourists due to having Blenheim Palace here. It has around two thousand visitors a weekend, doubling the town's population. I would like to show shops, pubs, restaurants and important town information. To me, its a very important app, because this could be an app that gets thousands of downloads. And I will make posters and everything for the app. So the basics is to just get the Icon right. What type of Icon would you come up with? Please share me your ideas. It would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like a cool app. Churchil was an iconic figure so personally i would use something to do with him and his famous V sign like this http://www.history.org.uk/library/0903/0000/0159/churchill_victory_sign_295.jpg And use the V as the first part of the W in Woodstock if you know what i mean. Just a suggestion.

How about the town crest? It looks interesting.

I could try a town crest. The building is the Town Hall.

I think that using Winston Churchill is a good idea, but that is mainly to do with Blenheim Palace, whom I want to do a separate app for. These ideas are very good though and I am getting many ideas. @fangrock - What do you use to make those icons. They look good. What program are they?
