Push Notifications?

How do you get your iOS app to send push notifications?

Try Appoxee, Parse, Xtify, Urbanairship (I'm sure there are more!) Check out what they do and how they do it. And then have a look in the documentation section here on buzztouch. There are a number of tutorials and if you do an advanced search on the forum for parse for example or any of the others, you'll get lot's of good info.

Ictguy guys I spot on, load if options out there. I happen to like Parse. Think just about all the main players in Push have a tutorial in the forums or how-to's. All the best with it.

Parse is great for me on Android, but I have never been able to get it to work on iOS, I've tried everything and 6 months later still in the same spot. Just won't work for me.

Ok, here is the issue I am having with Parse. I don't understand Parse's quick set up directions. I tried them, but I got breakpoint errors. So, can anyone explain, in detail, how to install Parse? Parse's instructions were too vague for me to understand. Thanks!

Breakpoint (the splash screen just stays without changing). I don't think that I put the code in the right place.

@dakorpsta Yeah, I know. I am not sure where the Parse code is supposed to go. I have not taken a good look at this but see if you can understand the documentation (below). If it works for you, PLEASE POST YOUR (easy) explanation! https://parse.com/apps/quickstart#ios/blank (even if you have existing project, choose new project for video tutorial) Post back. Thanks! Munny1

I've had no luck at all with this. I've used both videos, both tutorials, still no luck. Are you trying to add parse to an existing Buzztouch app or starting from scratch? I'm trying to add it, and I've gotten no where with it. Very frustrating....

Just had a go at this and thankfully didn't find it too bad. I followed the guide here to add framework and test sdk. https://parse.com/apps/quickstart#ios/existing Then followed this guide to create certificate and new provisioning profile and add the additional code to enable push notifications. https://www.parse.com/tutorials/ios-push-notifications The only issue I had was a compilation error in the first step, but after a quick google found I hadn't added one of the required frameworks in the build phases section.
