New Plugin: Web Browser

A simple web browser that allows users to browse web pages in your app. Set a homescreen in your control panel preferences. Includes Refresh, Back, Forward, and Open in Safari options. The key difference to this plugin and the Custom URL plugin is that this screen allows the user to change the URL if desired. COMPATIBLE WITH BOTH iOS6 AND iOS7! Purchase Here: https://www.buzztouch.com/plugins/plugin.php?pid=D6AE1E5833A58CBAFC88144 Cheers, David https://btmods.com/chat

Nice, Are we able to remove the top lines including the URL to just show the webpage and the bottom toolbar?

Hmmm..... yes... but that would just be a Custom URL screen. This plugins main design is to show the URL so that the user can developer can have a screen where the user can see the URL and modify it if needed. Remove that and it becomes a Custom URL screen. :-) But back to your original question, it's using an XIB, it takes two seconds to remove it if you were compelled to... :-) David https://btmods.com/chat

Hello David I have certain html pages, including twitter lists, that don't work correctly with the custom url plugin or the html pro plugin on Android. They work fine with the native browser though, but navigating the user outside the app isn't somehing I like to do. Do you know if a twitter list would work with your plugin? A good example is http://limetimeapps.co.uk/f1-twitterpicks.html Thanks, Alan

AlanMac, if you want to give me a sample URL, I can let you see a screen shot or video of my Android HTML plugin… but it doesn't feature any navigational capabilities; it's used mainly for one page display. Cheers! -- Smug

Does this one do progressive display of the content? The customURL plugin seems to wait for all the content to be downloaded before displaying the page onto the screen. Thus, I get multiple flashes of the spinner. Try this URL: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_Flaco

This one I believe loads as it comes in, but allows for interaction (instead of locking you out until the load is finished), however, my connection is unusually fast, so I see web pages almost instantly. David. https://btmods.com/chat

If you load the URL I provided in a browser, any browser, PC or whatever, you'll see what the page should look like. Its a page of twitter, useing the twitter widget. If you click on the links, it should take you somewhere (doesn't always if rendered in a plugin). The reason I'm asking about this is that I have been on the lookout for how to display a selection of tweets in an app - this is my best attempt. My suspicion is the problem is caused because the Android webview isn't as capable as the native browser.
