This is an introduction a year in the making. Hi everyone, I hit a bit of a milestone this past week. It has been one year since I started here at Buzztouch. I registered on 11/11/11 with the idea of a simple catalog app. I had an app live in Android Market on 11/12/11, after a few days of working with it, I updated it. The new app went live 11/17/11 and is still on the market. It is a 1.4 app that “gets the job done”. Apple rejected my 1.4 app so I took a look at 1.5. I submitted it on 11/27/11 and on 12/20/11 my first iOS app went live. I had 6 rejections, (mainly for marketing and other BS) but in the end I did it. I will never forget the feeling of getting that approval email. Still makes me smile. First off, no I am not a programmer. The only exposure to code I ever had was back in grade school I messed around with an Apple IIe a bit. My background is in turfgrass and mechanics. I have been blessed with the ability to diagnose, and fix things. Doesn’t really matter what it is, I will take a crack at working on it. Those apps going live changed a lot of things for me. It has helped me land a new role at the company I work for, allowed me to make some extra side money, and helped me make something cool. I am close to finishing my first client app and I have learned more than I ever thought possible in the last year, all thanks to Buzztouch. I now have several more apps on the market, a BT Plugin, and a thirst for knowledge that I need to find a way to fill. I wanted to take a minute to stop and say thanks. David, the BT gang, and the community here are amazing. I know I have thrown out a ton of wild ideas and asked a lot of questions on the forum, hopefully I have given a little back as well. Thanks to everyone that has helped me along the way, it has been a great year. Jim King

Jim Still waiting on your video ;). I am so glad I had an opportunity to meet you in person. You defiantly are an inspiration! At the Minnesota meetup I was blown away observing you sit back and watch all of us "buzz" around you and then you come in quietly and slam dunk your idea with an incredible plug in! You have an amazing story and a great representative of what buzztouch can do! This venue is so great for dreams to becoming realities. You proven that! I know you will go far up in that tundra of yours....do me a favor though....say Wisconsin for me just one more time...you got get in on video ;) Look forward to more of your great creations and hope we can meet up again sometime! Thanks Sheri, it was great to meet you as well. Susan getting the meetup put together was big for me. Getting to meet others through this is awesome. I will get a video done, and yes, I will slip Wisconsin in just for you ;)

Jim, your buzztouch story as one of the best I have heard. I think it is amazing that you made your first iOS and Android app in one weekend. Your circle plugin is an inspiration to all of us!
