I'm back new plugin created in for review

After Sheri posted on one of my feeds it's give me a kick up the arse. A week without posting whats that all about. Have just completed the Aurasma plugin and 10 page installation tutorial. Just submitted it for review lets get some Augmented Reality going in Buzztouch. If your interested in the plugin get yourselves to Aurasma to check out Aurasma and sign up as a partner. So your ready when it launches.

I love you....I mean I really love you! Thanks! *hint for people applying for the Aurasma approval been reading the documentation I am gathering if you put something in about education...which we are all doing here at buzztouch either learning or teaching or both.....then your application will be more likely to be approved...got mine within 24 hrs. -just my opinion*

This sounds neat. Have always hoped something like this would drop into BT. Played around with the String demo and was blown away, very pricey though. Haven't been on much last day, well not posting, more lurking but you've caught my eye with this. Off to investigate more.

Maybe there is a way there can be two plugins? Just a thought..... Plug In One: (Aurasma embedded as a kernel) This would be a great plugin especially if you have a physical product that you want to promote digital....awesome for helping clients market This enables to have the developer make the "Aura" http://www.aurasma.com/partners/support/Aurasma%20Kernel%20Guidelines.pdf Great Demo SpideyScenes ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Plug In Two: (Aurasma skinned as your app) Fantastic for social networking This enables to have the user make their own "Aura" great demo is DYNYfx http://www.aurasma.com/partners/support/Aurasma%20Skinned%20App%20Guidelines.pdf My thoughts is that this would be another great partnership....just a thought....I went ahead and put an application for the skinned apps too we will see what they say.....exciting stuff not matter what!

The aurasma skinned app can't be a plugin. They package the whole thing up for you. With my plugin you could make the skinned app yourself with a tweak of a line if code

Hey Kittsy. I to found out how to work Aurasma with BT. I would love to just use your plugin, with out hardcoding every one of my apps. I know there is some steps involved, but well worth it. I think the anticipation for this to be released is just like when the new BT 2.0 was coming out. Congrads.

The plugin saves a bit of code writing. But you will still need to add the 3000 frameworks lol

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-z_pbLgTAs&feature=channel&list=UL I went to an AR workshop last year and this is a video I put together afterwards which might help those of you who know nothing about AR to get some understanding of what it is.

took a crack at adding the SDK last night. then I got too distracted playing with the test project. then the Bulls game went to OT.... Plannning to download and watch those youtubes. Thanks for the great links, esp the one to skin your own version. kittsy - did you do this as a workspace and link the static library? or just copy in the necessary files as an 'SDK' and add the frameworks. is your plug-in going to use the skinning features? also - not sure if everyone is aware but you can change the location of your ios simulator. you don;lt always have to be in SF. i threw in some differnt coordinates and was seeing "nearby" auras everywhere! fun stuff for sure for apps.

Hey @Adtrain53. Not sure how the plugin will state to install Aurasma, but I find that linking the Kernel as a library to work just fine. Also if i am not mistaken, you don't have to add the sdk if you have the library linked. But there is a couple of easy steps in the directions to make sure the linking is done correctly. The skinned feature is totally separate from the kernel version. The skinned version they make for you, so it's impossible to be a plugin. @kITTSY Any updates on release. Can't wait.

If you check out the video wherever it is when I originally started tinkering. It uses the kernel download. The plugin links it to their frameworks. I've added a torch as well for low light conditions. It took me weeks to work it out so hopefully will save my fellow buzztouch pals some time. It's in for review, David is a busy guy sol we'll have to be patient

@Kittsy, really lookign forward to the possibilities with this one. How would you plugin work with the channels etc, would every user have to subscribe to the apps channel or would that already be incorporated into the plugin?

You would set up your own channels . All the plugin does is put the aurasma controller/software into your app. You use the aurasma studio tocreate your channels and auras. So this plugin technically uses two control panels one buzz touch the other aurasma

Yip, What I was hoping for was to add the specific channel to the plugin in the control panel so the user will have that channel already loaded when they launch the app and reduce the time wasted by them finding the channel and loggin on etc and maybe not using the plugin because of the hassle. So I was hoping ht edeveloper creates the channel in Aurasma and then uses those values in the BT control panel. If this is not possible we should think about making one BT channel...
