iPhone App running very jerky

Hey all. Just finished my first BT 2.0V app but it seems to not be optimized (as in it is very jerky, and not smooth at all). Is there something I can do to optimize it? What might be causing this? Thanks in Advance!

what exactly is jerky? are you testing it on the simulator or on the device itself?

The device itself. On my computer it was running perfectly. It just takes a moment to respond, and when it does it feels like it is running slow, as if there isn't enough processing power or something...

hmm... are there images on that screen. What type of screens have you made that are giving issues? if you are calling images or documents from an online server perhaps that is the issue or are all of your files embedded in the application itself? try to give a little bit more information!

I do have images as they are being used as 'icons' for each option in the app. Could the image files be too large (I would have to go back and look to see how big they are). What size should these images be (dpi)?

icons shouldnt be too big, i usually use 72dpi for icons and png but thats me. are they coming from a link or embedded in the app? check here for reference to app images and size https://www.buzztouch.com/docs/v1.5/artworkGraphics.php

Thanks for the help! They are jpg's embeded in the app. I think I need to change them to png's and make sure they are 72 dpi...
