Pictures/icons on BT V2.0

Hey all this is my first android app with BT V2.0. I used the grid view and had pictures/icons for each of my options. I assume that you put them in the res/drawble folder, but wasn't sure. I did put them in there but I get the error that the file is invalid. They are Jpgs with no spaces. Thanks in advance!

Hello, What's the exact error that you see in LogCat when it tries to load the file? That might give us some insight. Also, you might want to check that they are actual jpg files, not some other file just renamed to jpg. And you could try converting them to png, which seem to work better on Android. And avoid caps as well, sticking with just lower case. Mark

Super Mark to the rescue again! lol Here's the error I'm getting: res\drawable\social-networking-icons280x280.jpg: Invalid file name: must contain only [a-z0-9_.] Now if I change the names, do I need to change them in my BT hosted area (where I create the app from BT website) or do I need to do it through eclipse and search for where these files might be and change them there?

Hi! Try either removing the - or changing it to an _ instead. I'd vote for removing the dash. If you change the name of the file, you need to update the name where you specified it in your control panel. That'll then update the JSON (configuration data) for your app. After that, if you want, you could sync your configuration data file just to make sure all is good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sp2vL1XCPC0 Hope this works! It's a bit misleading [a-z0-9_.] It looks like dashes are ok, but it's a to z, 0 to 9, underscores and periods allowed.

Yeah, they need a new way to represent that. It should be 0_9a_z. But that doesn't look as pretty I guess.
