BTA Design Menu

Anyone know of an app currently using the BTA Design Menu plugin? I'm starting a new app for a client and would like to see how it works, looks, and integrates into an app before committing to using it. Specifically wondering about the layout capabilities and the search function and would like to see it in action. Thanks, Andy

Hi Andy, Thanks for your interest. As the developer of the plugin I can tell that you're not going to waste $4,99 !! On the website www.bt-addons.com there are several videos an 4 examples you can download. All the examples come with all the graphic files, manual, photoshop files and an image with all the settings to recreate the examples. You can see the search function in action if you take a look at the video of The Blog Pro overview. In this video the search function is demonstrated. The way this works is the same as in The Design Menu plugin. It's not free ( for the same money you could aslo buy the plugin, haha) but I saw the plugin was used in this app: http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=DAC724B1803C2A6D35A490D&currentPage=2 If you have questions feel free to contact me at info at bt-addons dot com. I'm happy to help or create a video for you if needed. Hope this helps understanding a bit more about the plugin. Best Regards, Danny

Andy, I can vouch for this plugin, extremely powerful with the designs you can make from it - I've been working on a app myself with it and LOVE IT! Cheers, David https://buzztouchmods.com

Thanks Danny! I've actually already purchased both of them (Design Menu and Blog, thanks!). I'm just looking for real-world examples so I can see how it works without wasting alot of time entering content, only to find out it doesn't fit my needs. Specifically, how does your search work? For example, I purchased the BTM Search Menu plugin, and while it does what it says it does, it does not seem to search anything but the first letter of the menu items and it ignores anything that is added via the Data URL (so any screens that rely on this are ignored). This makes it not ideal for this project and I'd rather see it in action to confirm that it works for my specific purpose. Here's an idea for plugin developers: Distribute a small, working demo that can be downloaded and opened in Xcode to explore. This allows a quick study of the capabilities with a level of interaction that isn't available with a video. Thanks again for the plugins and your time, Andy

Hi Andy, To give a working example of a plugin, like an Xcode project, is giving away the plugin for free. In the project are all the source files. Know what I mean. For that reason I make manuals and videos. I know they don't cover everything but it helped a lot of people understanding the/my plugins. The search function in both of my plugins work on every letter you type. It gets compared at the title and gives immediately results. The Blog Pr

To learn how both work I can only advise to create a sample app where you test all your plugins. It isn't that much work and helps you to understand them better. Best regards, Danny

Danny, Thanks! I appreciate your time. One last question: Does the search work in data included in the Screen URL file? Thanks, Andy

Has anyone confirmed that the Design Menu search function will work on the menus produced from Stobe's List Menu tool? http://idevdepot.com/list-menu-tool/
