Hi. Just to check. Did you extract the zip file you downloaded from buzztouch?

When you say you are selecting root folder do you mean the root folder inside the package folder you extracted? The way i do it is i click the "new" button at top left in eclipse and select "android project > create from existing source > browse to extracted buzztouch folder and select it > click next > select Google api 2.2 { next > finish and it should open in eclipse.

I had the same problem for a long time. Thought I had extracted the zip but I did not. I moved the downloaded zip from downloads to mydocuments. It was in mydocuments as a zip still but I thought it was extracted. I am a beginner and sounds dumb but try the right click on your folder and see if "extract" option is there and do it or do it again. It worked for me but I think I am more of a beginner than you.

ie. the browse for sure cannot see zipped folder at all. unzipped (right click extract if you moved file from downloads to another location) is worth a double check. it for sure can see 'extracted' . anyway this was my experience. maybe your sitchy is more complex.

Please let us know how you get on. There are loads of good folk on here who will be happy to help you through setting everything up. Don't be afraid to ask, you will get lots of help. Its worth reading through the how to's as there is loads of great guides to getting started by @GoNorthWest and there is another great guide to be found at myskylla.com. I recommend you read as much as you can as you will get a far better understanding of how it all works. Best of luck and don't give up. I was in the same position as you not so long ago.

thank you for this forum! I am very new, and I am using Eclipse. Downloaded the source code for a simple app created on buzztouch, and figured out (from above, thanks!) how to extract. But the Google api 2.2 is not there after extraction! Can someone help me?

@Chimasters welcome to buzz touch. Do you have any Google API levels available? Its OK to use a higher API level. So long as minimum target sdk level is set to 8 it will still be available to 2.2 devices. My understanding is that the code buzz touch uses requires this as a minimum to use its features but that does not mean you can't compile with a higher API level. If you wish to insert adverts from admob for example you would require to compile using level 13 or higher. Hope this makes sense ;-)

Thank you! The Eclipse version that I downloaded seems to have been updated quite a bit from the one shown in the Buzztouch U, and some features aren't there, or are someplace else. Finally figured out how to get the Google API levels! Your advice is very helpful, and makes perfect sense.
