Changing configuiration

Hello! I am a pretty new user of buzztouch (started yesterday) and made some progress in understanding the concept. Today I ran into something I do not understand. Maybe somebody could shed some light on it? I created an application with a basic menu and some screens and loaded it into eclipse for testing (not much to test yet). I also added some more screens changed some settings and checked the changes in the configuration. Now it seemed that everything changed. The configuration file doesn't update after I make changes. I e.g. changed the URL for a HTML DOC several times but the configuration file still has the original URL. Now I deleted most of the screens and actions and have still the same configuration. Am I missing or missunderstanding something or just doing it wrong. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Thomas

Hi @Thomas95180, Did you try a refresh and clean project? You also can copy the config file from Buzztouch control panel and find your config file on your saved computer and paste it in there and click save. Hope this helps. LA

Hi LA. My problem is that the config file in BT doesn't update. It doesn't matter what I change the config file stays the same. Any ideas? Thanks, Thomas

Hi Thomas, Are you looking at the configuration file that you have loaded in Eclipse (which we don't expect to change), or are you looking at the configuration data that you can access in your control panel (which we would expect to change after an update)? Mark

This would be for a BT v2.0 app, correct? And this is NOT self-hosted? Mark

Hi Mark. It is the configuration file in the control panel that doesn't change. Did I break something? Thanks, Thomas

Probably didn't break anything. ;-) Just want to make sure I understand the circumstances. I'll do some investigation. Mark

That is correct. BT 2.0 and it is hosted at BT. Thanks.

I just tested it in my account, and it's working just fine. Is there a particular screen type you made changes to that I can test? Mark

Hi Mark. After realizing that it didn't change anymore I made several changes. But the screen where I saw it was a HTML DOC. I even deleted it and it still is in the configuration. I tried to change the URL which is still the same as in the beginning. I also had a splash screen in the layout which I deleted. It also is still in the config file. Thomas

The splash screen might stay there until you remove it from your themes also. Just removing the splash screen itself isn't enough. Changing the URL is totally working for me as well. Any chance I can get access to your control panel to check this out? You could email login info to MrkFleming at gmail dot com. Mark

Hi everyone. The configuartion finally updated. But ... I did the same again this morning. Removed all screens and started all over. Again, the configuration didn't update. Is there a special order I have to follow or one step that will drigger the update. I am waiting already about an hour. I do not want to wait an hour every time I want to test changes. Thanks, Thomas
