Following this as never tried it but heard using a custom url screen works for streaming videos. Also the AT53 video plugin available in the plugin market should allow streaming via url.

Strange. I have not yet purchased the plug but its next on my shopping list. Don't worry. Someone in the know will most likely have the answer for you shortly. Will keep an eye on this post for reference in case i encounter same problem when i get round to using a video in my app. All the best.

Just to check. If you are streaming from dropbox did you make sure its the correct public link as may not work if its a private link. I assume you would have but just a suggestion.

I have successfully used the AT53 plug-in. I host my video on a server, put the URL (http) into the plug-in and it plays on Android. My video is an mp4, what is yours?

I also have it working using a URL with dropbox. Looks like its not recognizing the link you gave as a video file. Try using this link to test with..... http://db.tt/cT8lsxoF its the same as this one but just shortened. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/45132927/Content/MF-Art/BT_Video/spiderman.mp4 if it works then its the link you are using.....

Im sure I remember the plugin author stating that the AT53 video plugin needs the video file extension at the end of the URL e.g http://www.yourdomain.com/yourvideo.mp4 if you are using shortened URL's with dropbox, this may cause an issue

Walms is correct, the plug-in was not written to be a streaming video player. Yes it supports playing URL's if you feed it a valid URL it can decode without any use of the browser. I posted info about that here: https://www.buzztouch.com/plugins/discussion.php?tid=8EF95402A7D57D4904D234C&pid=3C06F75263AE92A0B802F44&searchInput=search...&sortColumn=PT.modifiedUTC&sortUpDown=DESC&currentPage=1 I'm surprised it even keeps up with a dropbox url to be honest. I would stick to the custom URL to stream videos and use this plugin for local videos. That's where it shines and what I wrote it for - to play local stored videos that play instantly on your device without an internet connection. If you're trying to use the plug-in beyond that, you should probably look closer at the code. You can probably mod it to make it work with streams better. The best user experience is going to involve downloading the video first and then playing it.
