Hello from Philly!

I guess I should say hi too. My name is Josh and I'm a 4th year emergency medicine resident here in Philly. I found Buzztouch just over two years ago now when trying to make an emergency medicine app for my residency "scholarly project" and have been on an incredible journey since! I've made a few apps but my baby, so to speak, is the one on emergency medicine which has over 10,000 downloads and essentially earns me an extra paycheck every month so I can still afford to drink beer as a lowly over-worked resident. I'm currently applying for wilderness medicine fellowships and I know for a fact that one of the few things that sets me apart from other applicants and got me interviews are the apps I've developed. I just interviewed at Stanford a few days ago and they thought it was "awesome". And apparently the #1 class at Stanford last year was App Building 101. They showed me the only wilderness medicine app out there which was, as they pointed out, "awful" and want make a better one! And the plug in market has brought Buzztouch to a whole new level. So thank you so much Dave and the other guys of Buzztouch, and to everyone who has helped me in the forums!

That is a great story, Josh! Even if making an app isn't your full time occupation, the fact that you have produced an app that is available at the App Store can give you the lead over competition. Good luck with wilderness medicine! Sounds like they need an app for that.

Awesome app ideas. I do volunteer event first aid so "what do do when someone falls over in a muddy field" is a subject dear to my heart. Especially when they can't hear you over the band/fireworks/amount of alcohol they've drunk/"helpful" bystanders filming it for YouTube. I love doing it though. :D
