Thanks BT! Complete overhaul update approved! Promo codes inside.

Hi everyone! Apple has just approved my app update for Snow Forecast - White Christmas! (Not showing in App Store for me yet - I guess it takes a little while to filter through?!) https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/snow-forecast-white-christmas/id478366416?mt=8 This is a complete overhaul of the app from last year: - Fantastic new User Interface with swipe and shake features - More detailed forecasts - Facebook and Twitter Social Framework integration - Chartboost with fallback to Revmob integration A massive thank you to the whole Buzztouch community - I may not post as often as I should but I read (A LOT!!!!) and without the whole community (especially David and the gang) this would not be possible. Here's some promo codes to try it out: KMLNPEYHK3TR 6R9E7AH4TYP7 77L67PFNYMAR PF6FEHFLKMK7 WE73MPPTXJPT XYTFWA3K6LWL RNPRW3EWJYLN HLEMY4HMJ343 YKT73KHPXY3L 9AYXAPW476AM I hear there's a big storm headed for the US - hopefully will have positive impact on sales, but do really hope it is not too bad and that everyone is ok. Enjoy the snow if you get some!

Hey, beautiful app. The info menu where you have the swipe option, is it a BT plugin? html docs? Looks great, and the swipe is really smooth. How did you accomplish it? Cheers. Miguel

Thanks for your kind comments. The swipe is all done in HTML/JavaScript with code from here: http://cubiq.org/swipeview Cheers.

Also another cool hack included (for me anyway!): If you go to the 'lucky dip' page see how the message changes depending on your response to the ad.

Looks slick. Christmas already? I've yet to chase the turkey round the garden. Congrats again. Snow, snow snow, wish we got some in Kentucky.

I took code: RNPRW3EWJYLN Very cool app, love the swiping feature and the "Lucky Dip" section, very fun to mess around with him :) Also love the snow flakes falling when you shake the device. Nice Job! Congratulations! Raoul EDIT: How did you manage to integrate the iOS 5 Facebook and Twitter Sharing?

@Raoul I'm away at the moment so not able to view the code but it wasn't actually too hard. I followed some online tutorials and just adapted them for me. From memory the hardest part was communicating from the weather screen (HTML) to the ios code to initiate social framework and then passing the data value to the post text. Once I figured this out it was pretty straight forward I think. What exactly would you like to know and I'll look it up when I get back on Monday.

Thank you, I would like to know how to integrate the new Facebook and twitter social sharing features on iOS 5 and above with buzztouch.

Ok no worries - it will slightly depend on where you want to call them from. As I said I called them from HTML - which allowed me to have buttons to call them on the current screen. haven't tried calling them from a bt menu, not sure exactly how that would work apart from having an exclusive screen for it. There is already a twitter plugin available that uses an exclusive screen - don't want to tread on toes with that! How/what screen are you looking to use them on.

I redeemed XYTFWA3K6LWL. Very good looking app @baywebnz, with some cool (pun intended) navigation techniques. We don't get much snow where I live, but I will enjoy looking for it.

WOW WOW WOW, awesome app !! Got a feeling you going to be asked to give some webinars soon. Not sure why there is zero % of snow here in Perth, Australia :) probably because it is going to be about 38 degrees Celsius

I loved the swipe screens in your app. I have downloaded the source code, but I'm wondering how to go about integrating them into my app. Any pointers? Thanks, Chris

@LevensGardener Mine is based on the gallery demo so take a look at the source code for that. I just tweaked it by removing the navigation (the dots at the top) and also removing the captions at the bottom - the captions you see on my images are actually part of the images themselves (created in photoshop). I also edited the css file to make the images fill the screen. I then added all the files to my project and included it through a 'html doc' screen.

@Raoul Sorry has taken me a while to get back to you - super busy with my next app - is Christmas themed too so trying to speed through it! Anyway for iOS6 Facebook and Twitter: Basically in the HTML of my custom URL screen I have normal links set up like the following: myapp://twitter myapp://facebook Add in the Social Framework to your project (set to optional) Then in the customURL .m file I set up the following: under Bool shouldStartLoadWithRequest: if ([request.URL.absoluteString isEqualToString:@"myapp://facebook"]){ if ((NSClassFromString(@"SLComposeViewController") != nil)) { /// Full code here - I simply followed a Youtube tutorial (can't remember which one!) and added the applicable code in here - search 'ios6 social framework'. It's pretty straight forward - i'm not going to post the actual code - as I said before there is already a Twitter Plugin available and I don't want to step on ATRAIN's toes by posting the code here (I'm not sure of the etiquette on this?!). If you get really stuck send me your email or a private message and i'll help you out. /// } else { UIAlertView *alert = [[UIAlertView alloc] initWithTitle:@"Unable to Post" message:@"No Facebook account or not iOS 6" delegate:nil cancelButtonTitle:@"OK" otherButtonTitles:nil]; [alert show]; [alert release]; } return NO; } Hope this helps a bit?!
