Menu Screen: Have image slider, video or HTML as a background?

Hello all, I'm pretty sure this can't be implemented (what a terribly negative way to open a post!) but I can't explain to myself why... What I'd really like is to have my menu buttons (which would be set to be my home screen) overlayed on an 'animated' background. It doesn't have to be animation as such, it could be an image slider, a video or even an HTML doc embedded in the project that allowed me to add some kind of dynamic content to the background of the screen. I understand that this would look ugly on a phone, but on a tablet, a very minimalist home screen (i.e. four small buttons aligned left) with a moving image, rss feed, video, slider (or anything!) embedded to the right (or full screen as a background) would look really smart. If anyone thinks this can be done, please let me know. If not, it would be great if I could grasp the reasons why. Cheers guys.

good point, would be nice indeed. Do think as about anything that it is doable, just need to find the right people :-) Tried it with an animated .gif but that doesn't work either.

The workaround would be to have a HTML screen set as the home screen, but in the absence of being able to link to other BT screens from a HTML screen, I'd be forced to use a tabbed layout. This is something I want to avoid ideally. I'm thinking that with the time, a plugin would be the way forward, so I'm going to investigate this now. Another lost weekend on StackOverflow!
