Did you set up the coordinates of the location when you added your location map screen ?

Yes. Its all set up. Running the app on my s2 and location is there with driving directions button but gives "device not reporting its location " message as i require ti change this in eclipse to enable it but getting not resolved message. Never encountered it in the past so no idea what is going on. May close down whole project and start again. Just thought maybe someone had quick fix or tell me to check something etc but no one replied except yourself. Any ideas of something i may have missed?

hmmmm....I just tried it myself. I get the red location marker on a grid with no map in the background. When I tap it I get the address with 2 buttons underneath. One says Directions the other OK. When I tap the Directions button it comes back with No Location Found and "Your device does not appear to be reporting it's location". GPS/location is turned on on my phone so I guess I'm in the same boat as you. Maybe one of the gurus might be able to help ?

Have you adjusted the code in eclipse? In order to get it to work you need to go to line 593 in your BT-Screen-Map.java. There you will see two instances of tmpLatitude and two of tmp.Longitude Replace the second set by changing tmp ti tappedLocation.get I normally refer to the guide at www.myskylla.com as its just been what i used from the off to do this. Let me know if you have same issue

Also if you are getting blank grid with no map it means you have not inserted your Google maps app key. You need to also change the manifest by changing the androiddebbuggable to false. There are great guides in the how to's by @GoNorthWest to obtaining map keys etc

Hi Mr stuck This appears on line 585 of my BT_screen_map.java: Uri uri = Uri.parse("http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=" + tmpLatitude + "," + tmpLongitude + "&daddr=" + tmpLatitude + "," + tmpLongitude); Can you tell me exactly what I have to change. I tried what you suggested earlier but it didn't work. Also do you have a url I could look at regarding Google maps keys and how to get/use them ? Cheers

Yes. You change the second set of tmpLatitude/longitude to tappedLocation.getLatitude() tappedLocation.getLongitude() There are excellent guides in the howto's by @GoNorthwest to get set up or myskylla.com to get all map keys etc. Just have a look around and you will find it all in these guides

http://myskylla.wordpress.com/ Just scroll down to maps section How to's by @GoNorthwest Well worth reading as much as you can in all these as lots of golden nuggets of info in them all

No problem. Did you encounter any problems? I still can't get mine to behave. Released app with just location map for the time being.

Yep. That's exactly what i am getting but it worked perfectly before. This is strange. Perhaps you could try making a post for it as i have tried but got no response. I wander if i have offended anyone as Never normally get zero replies in forum. Can't think that i have though. I wander if buzztouch has changed something as that always used to appear at line 593. Glad in a way that its not just me that has that problem.

Hi Mr Stuck Sorry for the delay , been a bit busy over the weekend. I'm still getting the same problem as you re: 'tappedLocation'. Are you sure that it is the correct one to use? Maybe myskylla's instructions are out of date? I was able to generate a keystore MD5 and have a maps key but I'm still not getting any maps after following instructions at myskylla, just the grid and the marker. Will keep trying. Cheers

I have posted a forum topic and @David advised he would look into it. Make sure you set androidebuggable to false in the android manifest if you are using a release key. Also make sure you change the part in layout.xml to release. Modify the following file from Debug to Release:Source Code> res> layout>screen_locationmaps.xmlFrom: apiKey=@string/googleMapsAPIKeyDebugTo:    apiKey=@string/googleMapsAPIKeyRelease

@CRTaylor I launched a post here and discussed this with David and indeed there was a change to the packaged android download. See this thread https://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=2C8CB64024D595725932752 I think if you you re download your code then all should be well (unless i misinterpreted it) Hope this helps

I'm a new BuzzTouch user, and I assume I have all of the latest versions, but I'm still getting "tappedLocation cannot be resolved." Any ideas?
