eclipse for win 7

Hi, I am trying to install eclipse so i can get up and running but i cant get it working. I am completely new to all this, so if anyone could talk me through it I would be extremely grateful. Thanks all.

Hey Mr B. This doc refers to setting up in XP but should get you there. http://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/Setting_Up_Your_Android_Development_Environment_v1.3.pdf Eclipse can be a pain to set up as you get used to the patter and environment but enough folk have banged their heads so you should t have to too much .

will do ! Keep getting 'A java runtime environment (jre) or (jdk) must be available. No java virtual machine was found at location: C:\eclipse\jre\bin\javaw.exe javaw.exe in your current path' I have installed everything as per instructions above :-(

Hi Mark, Yes i have installed the jkd-7u9 and the sdk installer before i installed eclipse. Gary

Hi Gary, I've seen this happen to a couple other people before, and the solution was to uninstall both, and then install them again. For some reason it's like an environment variable, which points to where Java is supposed to be installed, didn't get set. Reinstall seems to clear it up. Worth a shot if you have the time! Mark
