Plugin Idea For Anyone Who Can Do!

Hi to any strong developer for iOS, I would really like to have a iCarousel (Cover Flow) menu. I have tried to implement into existing iOS projects but my skill level isn't strong enough to achieve. I would safely bet that a cover flow menu plugin would be extremely popular and a plugin I would be willing to pay for. Is their anyone who would be prepared to create a more cool and creative menu system cover flow plugin? I would also be willing to pay for the plugin to be created for my account and would happily negotiate a fee for doing so. Kind Regards All Dragon

Hi Nick are you prepared to help or indeed create a plugin which can be sold. Can you send me a link to your app, has it been published yet? Is your app a BT app, with this feature?

Hi Nick wasn't what I was thinking, however it does look really nice and I still think that would be a good option for anyone. I was looking for something that was image based and not text based if that makes sense. Link to what I was looking for: http://www.binpress.com/projects/614/icarousel-776.jpg Again, liked what you showed me, it's simplistic and clean, just how I like my designs to be.

Hey Dragon007, This is something that is on my list. I am hoping to make it so you populate it like a simple menu screen like my circle view menu. (select image, add lower text, etc.) I have a feeling a few others are working away on this as well. It is a cool concept and very clean. Jim

Hi Nick if you were to make this a plugin, I think you would clean up, its just what BT needs and would allow people like my self to concentrate on design. I would have no hesitations in buying this plugin if you created it no mater the price. So please if this is something you can do, please go ahead, I would love it! I would pay!!

I built one a while back using a 3rd party library, but it's just way too complex to integrate into projects to make into a simple BT plug-in. You have to import another project into your project. I was looking at icarousel as well and have a sort of working version of it. But it's not connected to the CP. My other coverflow is. I'd like to develp more of thr icarousel, but if others are already on it, then no sense. Dragon - I'd be curious to see someone else try adding it to an iOS project. send me a message and I'll point you to a project/tutorial you can take a look and see if you'd be adventerous to try. If YOU can add the libarary and complete the first part of the tutorial to the project, I'll send you my self hosted files that will make the plug-in work and allow you to change/use images on the CP. this would only work for self-hosted of course....

What kind of functions would you like the user to use... literally just a menu picker?

Hi Nick just a menu picker, click on thumbnail images and take you to a screen. If that makes sense. In regards to ATRAIN and Crown, thank you for your interest; I agree that it wouldn't really make sense in having 2/3 versions of the same plugin, but its not for me to say you shouldn't do it. Nick was kind enough to respond to my post and has made some sort of commitment to possibly doing it. The truth of the matter is I am happy if anyone could help me here and as mentioned before I think the plugin would do extremely well. Question: How long would such a plugin take to create?

Yep I think if someone else has already started they should finish, there are other options plus I'm not sure how easy that is to actually implement ( haven't looked at it in Xcode yet) there might be a reason people have started it and yet we still don't see it in the plugin store. Would something like this be of interest? http://tinypic.com/r/2po5b4g/6 This wouldn't be hard to get as a plugin....

Hi Nick thanks for the alternative, but I wanted something that resembled the music layout on the iPhone. The screen shot you have just shown is a plugin already available but unfortunately not what I'm looking for. I agree with your points, but I hope that all of you guys do not decide to not continue with the plugin on the basis that you think another developer is doing it, as we may end up with no one creating the plugin. I also think that each developer may be able to add some unique to their creation, making each of the plugin worth buying as they may bring something slightly different. Its times like this I wish I had you guys brains for development, but I'm a straight designer.

Hi Nick I do link your menu and I would purchase this plugin if created, even though its not what I'm looking for.

That wasn't meant to post again i must have had the page open lol! I think Crown Solutions may have the Cover Flow menu in the mix. I'll get this menu sorted though, it works well. PM Crown Solutions to see when he's thinking of doing the plugin..
