Help creating a Flickr Email plugin

I feel like I've posted about 10 "help me" thread so far this week - hopefully this is the last one! The only thing holding me back from converting all of my apps to 2.0 is the lack of any kind of image uploader - specifically, the 1.5 image emailer is something I've used in most of my apps to allow users to upload pics to flickr galleries. I've been fumbling around with trying to create a plugin for this on my own (for personal use) - my most recent attempt was copying and pasting the 1.5 image emailer code from the .h and .m files into into my new plugin files, changing all of the necessary lines of code that I would think necessary to make it work. This seemed like a long shot - I didn't think it would be quite that easy and it turns out it isn't - when I try to load the emailer screen it is just blank. Is there something obvious that I'm missing or am I just way out of my league here? I would think at least the action sheet would have appeared.

Have you looked at this? https://www.parse.com/tutorials/saving-images I've been playing with that, the login and the PFQuery class. Parse is so much more than just PN. Those videos are great. Watch them and let me know if you think that might work. the 1.5 .h/.m copy/paste is along the right path. I think the reason the class is not loading is because 1.5 index.php files are big time different. They use includes and the BT 2.0 is a lot easier to connect to the CP. There's gotta be some 2.0 uploading code in there to pilfer. keep looking... If not I think Parse's features are the way to go, esp for some of your apps that I know would benefit. I keep meaning to ask if you use any analytics too, like Flurry to track 'events'...

HI Absentia. I have submitted an Image_emailer plugin to the market. Hopefully it will work it's way through the process in the coming weeks.

@ ATRAIN thanks for the link..I haven't seen that before but it looks pretty cool. I'm gonna have to see if I can get that working. What videos are you referring to when you say "those videos are great"? - I couldn't find any video tutorials. I just started using Flurry to track events - it's pretty cool..one of those things I can't believe I haven't been using all this time @ Red Dog Cool! If I don't get the Parse solution working by then, I'll be your first customer

@reddog - that will be a popular seller. nice work. good luck @absentina - that doesn't look like a project for the meek, but it looks like a great implementation for a gallery. this gives you a bacl-end to manage the photos and create/manage users. getchute.com also has an uploader i looked at - but that library is proving more difficult to add to projects. I'm not sure there is a Parse video on the uploader - but there's a bunch of other good tutorials on their site. some have videos - check out the Parse Query one. https://www.parse.com/docs/tutorials I can share my notes with you on how I subclassed the parse login if you get to that point. I'm looking for an app to test it out on....
