I just installed Eclipse and the instructions don't match what it shows in Eclipse. Also, the directions say use SDK Andorid 2.2(API8) but it's up to Android 4.1.2(API16). You can use the latest versions of Eclipse and the SDK Manager, and everything else pretty much still applies. Keeping a document updated with software versions is tough given how often they change! But the concepts, in this case, remain the same. You can use any Google API as long as it's API8 or newer. The important thing is that it must be the Google API, and not the Android API.
