File not downloaded yet

Im gettin' this error in my Eclipse LogCat, when trying to access to a Custom HTML/Text section (on emulator) BT_screen_customHTML: ERROR loading from cache after download: https://www.buzztouch.com/applications072212/JAE1EDC9B9E87E26C55793834/documents/customHTML_05FD37AFB27040571BC7B92.html Im using Eclipse 3.7.2. Note: I think buzztouch vers. 1.4 was the best before you take it off from our control panels. Anyway, thanks for the service.

Is the screen not displaying correctly? I click on the link and can see the content, but I'm wondering if you can see it in the app or not? Mark

Yeah, I can also see it in the browser here, but not on the emulator. Also I've check the internet conection in the emulator. Btw, if I add a new section in the control panel then it takes a long time to appear on the emulator and when it finally appears I get an error like the mentioned before.. Are you having the same issues Mark? or have you ever had this problems? Thanks for your time.

Hi @Imagenparaweb, I think ultimately you'll find that buzztouch v2.0 is much more robust than v1.4 was - just give it some time! Can you give us some more LogCat output from around the time when you try to load that content? Maybe a few more lines before or after? Also...if you want, you can send me your source package and I can load it in my Eclipse and try to debug for you. MrkFleming at gmail dot com. Mark

Hi @GoNorthWest (Mark) I have the same problem and hoped you may be willing to help me troubleshoot (for myself and others that seem to still be suffering). I have a BT hosted 2.0 app and the problem is on android (have not test iOS yet). I can suggest you to use the 'HTML Doc' instead of 'Custom HTML' ;)

@Imagenparaweb thanks for the input, are you suggesting I use the HTML Doc plugin and set the BT hosted file as the Document Location? Or do I need to host the files myself eg. dropbox? Alternatively if I can add them in to the app this would resolve all my problems and concerns - any guidance on that would be appreciated, am I right in thinking they need to be in the BT_Docs folder and then referenced without the file extension (filename minus .html)? BTW I loved 1.4 as well but I do find 2.0 much more versatile! Thanks again

That's right! You should use HTML Doc plugin and configure each screen with the correct file in 'Document Location' section. You have to upload the .html file and link it. When you finish the entire app, download the Android Project and put it on Eclipse. All your html files must be into the BT_Docs folder. And if you use images on your html files, then the images must be too in the same folder. Include the file extension (.html and .jpg) Let me know if you could do that!

Thanks @Imagenparaweb I'll give that a go. 65 pages to reproduce so it may take a while. I'll let you know how I get on.

I'd try one or two pages first before you do all 65! It's a good plan though...I like the HTML plugin better than the Custom HTML/Text plugin, because it gives me more control of the document. You can link the screen to an online HTML document, so you can put it in DropBox. But, if the page is unlikely to change much or often, then including it with the app is always preferable. Let us know how it works out! Mark
