QR Code Reader - In-App

Hey everyone! I've been working on my 2nd app looking at basketball games/activities/drills for p.e. teachers/coaches/activity specialists/or anyone really with a keen interest for the sport. If possible, I'd like to integrate 3 QR Code posters within the app (example = http://www.thephysicaleducator.com/resources/QR-Skill-Posters/QR-Basketball/Basketball-Set-Shot.pdf). However, there really is no value in doing this if I can't integrate a QR reader within my application. Any technological know-how would be greatly appreciated - any knowledge on the matter! I've started getting more comfortable with coding; however, I'm still no code expert! Thanks in advance, I appreciate it! Nicholas

Hi Nicholas, I've actually been working on a QR reader plugin for a bit, but no love yet. It's more difficult than I anticipated! I even tried just integrating it directly into the app, and that didn't work either. Using the ZXing QR reader code. I have engaged @David on this, so perhaps it'll happen in the "near" future? Hey Mark, That's great to hear - there is some hope (no pressure! haha). I'm hoping to wrap up my app by January, but in any case, there's nothing a future update wouldn't be able to resolve ;) I'd definitely be among the 1st to purchase a QR Reader plugin. All the best! Nicholas

Hey recoore, I submitted the QR Reader plugin back in November 2012... I'm still waiting for its approval, which coincided with the whole Buzztouch facelift, one of the most notable of changes being the plugin market and the way plugins were made to work. In essence, the QR Reader plugin is one of the plugins currently in the backlog to be looked at by David & the Buzztouch team as files and some contents need some renaming, but beyond that, the functionality is and has always been there, just a matter of bringing it up to speed. I'm very eager to see my 1st plugin in the market - I have backed off from moving forward with any other plugins just until I can get through the first successful submission. Patience is a virtue - going on 6 months. ;) Nicholas
