David Book, as most know is a legend! I was fortunate enough to have the support of David for an app that was so nearly complete but needed tweaking. We hooked up for a really cool online session that was an hour long, rather than the expected 10 minutes. David was even good enough to take my project and sort the code itself. Roughly 2 weeks ago David sent it back to me, all fixed. Basically the app crashed either after the alarm was set or when returning to the first view. Now, to say watching an expert in his field work on my project (Yes, we shared screens and David took control of my mouse!) was nothing short of fascinating and the way he narrowed down the issues was something I will take with me on future projects. I have promised David several large Ales when he is next in the UK. He did admit to only being able to handle 2 pints before he falls over...well you cant be good at everything I suppose! For anyone interested, and for David, I thought you would be, here is the project, now sitting happily on the app store. A lot of time and effort went into this and i'm pleased with the result. Once I've figured out how to use custom text in the label displaying the time I will be completely satisfied. You are right David, i've been on buzztouch a while now and I always try and help out on the forum where I can because its such a great community and people love to share and help - its infectious. I'll certainly consider getting this into a plugin. I have yet to get my backside in gear and get self hosting, I will for sure be knocking on your door when I do - probably this week. I have customised a UILabel font before and seem to recall needing to do something to the .plist - i'll investigate and see what I can do. Have a great idea for the next one - having looked at the sports charts :)

Yup keep expanding it's features and it's going to be a hit! Maybe have a image take over the screen for the alarm when it goes off? Perhaps let the user select a image or use a image from the app? Is your app not running for iPad? :) David https://buzztouchmods.com

Nice Alex! I just downloaded the app. I bet you can price it higher, looks well worth it. Possibly get more downloads as well. I would test if I were you! @David.. whenever you get to the UK for a meetup be sure to post in Buzztouch. I'll fly over for that, for sure!

Well just test.. i had an app that was initially priced at 1.99 and it was getting about 1-3 downloads a day. and i thought perhaps i will change it to .99 to see if i get more downloads.. the result was 0-1 downloads per day during my 2 week test. so i cranked it back up to 1.99 and it went from 1-3 downloads a day to 4-7 downloads. i guess it depends on the app but start out higher and keep testing. test test test :) but i think its worth more than .99 so try!

awesome, great looking app - except we have NO Hockey!!! I'd love to hear the siren about now. but I do have one other major issue with your app- DETROIT SUCKS! no offense, but you had to know that was coming from the Blackhawks fans. great rivalry, even if you get the best of it most of the time. good luck with sales and may the strike end soon. I knew about the player strike which wont help! I solely chose Detroit as a starting point and assuming, maybe incorrectly, that they would be the most supported team - I stand to be corrected on that. Because of the strike I will probably look to another sport other than a hockey team for the next one. Any word when the strike is likely to relent? All the best.

No, no - not out of a hat. I've always been into the NHL and it was more a partially educated guess than definitively knowing or totally guessing. I naturally thought the Canadian teams would also be worth a punt :)
