Hey Mate, An awesome way to start is by doing the Buzztouch U lessons in you're profile! Were more than happy to help, but you should start here first: https://www.buzztouch.com/btu Cheers, David https://buzztouchmods.com

Hey Jang, I really hate to say it, but if your serious about making a app, you're going to need the basic tools (computer, xcode/eclipse, a little cash on hand, ect.) You're only option is to have someone make it for you, but in that case, you should have a little something to compensate the developer for his time/work, so it's going to be hard to find anyone. What I suggest is save up some money, mow some lawns, get a job, then buy a cheapo mac on craigslist or a cheap PC, then come back here and take those BTU lessons. There are many many guides that can help you on your way! Really really wish I could have given you other options, I can't see anything else, maybe someone else can give you some suggestions. Cheers, David https://buzztouchmods.com

Hi again.. I received your PM.., the app you want to make thats similar to the app you sent me is ridiculously complicated - it's an entire game, probably created with a entire team of iOS developers, designers, etc. I would NEVER say it's out of your reach, but, you should definitely start smaller and learn step by step the basics before taking on a project like that - I'm light years away from getting close to games! I'm also not sure what your post means above, but, you will need to save up at least $200-300 for a windows machine on craigslist for eclipse. Cheers, David https://buzztouchmods.com

So 100-200 for mac or windows pc (what's more often windows or Mac) and 100 for the apple 99/year so if I jailbreak my iPod touch I can get all the codes for KaW and I can edit but I ask athinkingape.com if they could help me with my app on buzztouch even gave them my information on it so I hope they help or do it.

Hi, Mac is used for xcode (iphone/ipad app dev), Windows is used for eclipse (android app dev). Depending on which you go for, Mac can do both (e & x). I don't think jailbreaking will make KaW open source, you might be able to hack it and change some code, but you won't be able to duplicate it into a whole new app by simply jailbreaking - that code is closed up. Best of luck, David https://buzztouchmods.com

Hi @Jangodarkblade, Welcome to buzztouch! I think you're sorta missing @MrDavid's point. What he's trying to say is that if you are trying to make a big time game like KaW, you need some big time resources, a big time budget, and some big time skills. You could probably assemble a team like that from people here at buzztouch, but I fear that $0.39 credit in iTunes isn't going to get you very far. And trust me, I feel your financial pain. With respect to jailbreaking and potentially getting the KaW code to modify...well, in my opinion, that's simply stealing. I would be super surprised if you could get to it, but if you could, I'm also sure it's protected by copyright. So, be careful. There are still TONS and TONS of ways you can make a decent living through creating apps at buzztouch. For some motivation, check out this thread: http://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?tid=FCA851FE09B516B9C76519D Hope this sets you on the right path a bit! Don't hesitate to post in the forums with any questions you might have. Mark

Depends on whether it's iOS, in which case you use the Xcode Simulator, or Android, in which case you need to use the Android Emulator. If you want to get a computer that can do development for both, get a Mac. It can run both Xcode and Eclipse. PCs can only run Eclipse. Stay away from using a virtual machine on a PC in order to run Mac. Check out this document..it lists everything you need: https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/Things_You_Need_Before_You_Start_Developing_Apps_v1.0.pdf Mark

Just out of curiosity, did you read the document I suggested above? ;-) If you have a computer running Windows Vista, you can download and install Eclipse and do Android development. You won't be able to do iOS development with a PC running Vista, and it won't run Mac OS X. Here is a very detailed, step-by-step, illustrated guide to getting your Android environment up and running: https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/buzztouch_For_Android-A_Users_Guide.pdf It has everything in it you need to get started. To be successful at this, you'll need to put in some effort! Mark
