daviddebug error in eclipse

Just redownloaded my source code and opened my project again. Before I would only get an error where you had to change to Google 8 API. Now I get this error in BT_activity_root_tabs.java. No clue where this came from or what to do. if(t == 0) daviddebug_appDelegate.rootApp.setTab0ScreenData(screenData); if(t == 1) daviddebug_appDelegate.rootApp.setTab1ScreenData(screenData); if(t == 2) daviddebug_appDelegate.rootApp.setTab2ScreenData(screenData); if(t == 3) daviddebug_appDelegate.rootApp.setTab3ScreenData(screenData); if(t == 4) daviddebug_appDelegate.rootApp.setTab4ScreenData(screenData);

See how your tabs are set in your control panel. The code listed fills the tabs if they are present. Works like this-(or at least how I understand it) If there is a tab 0 then have the AppDelegate file fill that tab with the screen info from your panel, and so on.

I'm getting the exact same error, preventing me from emulating/compiling the app. I'm using non-tabbed layout with the default home screen menu. Anyone know where to go from here?

I just redownloaded the source code of another app that I built recently (that was working fine in Eclipse's emulator with no errors) and now that new source code gives me the same 5 errors (in BT_activity_root_tabs.java).. hmmm..

The strange thing about it is earlier today (I'm in Europe) it was working fine on my android emulator. Then the changes stopped refreshing so I cleared everything, redownloaded the source code and filled in my docs and images. And this error came up. I tried changing to a non tabbed layout and it still gives me that error...

Thought it was just me. Same error. Not using tabs either. Good Halloween Trick Buzztouch. LOL

Ok, something is odd here. I see that on two different posts the appdelegate name is daviddebug. Try changing this portion to the actual name of your appdellegate file. Like this- if(t == 0) YourAppDelegateNameYere_appDelegate.rootApp.setTab0ScreenData(screenData); Unless multiple people are building apps called daviddebug?

I tried doing that, replacing 'daviddebug' with the name of the app, but when emulating or running the .apk on a device, I got a black screen at startup.. never even made it to the menu.

Have you tried commenting out the lines of code? If you don't have a tabbed app it shouldn't matter. Not that this is a fix, but it may help troubleshoot.

Might be time to send up the bat signal. Maybe David is working on a debug project and some of the code went live?

I am subscribing to this so I can monitor if this could be tied to the Menu with Image plugin. The Menu with Image plugin was updated on Sunday evening. See the separate discussion page for more information. http://www.buzztouch.com/plugins/discussions.php?pid=F018606BDA6027B90A3ED49 Just to clarify, are all instances of this error tied to downloading from buzztouch? (i.e. not self-hosted) Did the error just start today?

Hey Susan. I can add that it also happens when you download from Self Hosted. Also following the outcome of this thread.

@Susan. I bought your plugin yesterday and it was working fine after switching from Chrome to Firefox. This error just started for me today.

See if my post in this thread helps- The screenshot in the other thread seems to show the offending code is in the BT_activity_root.java file so that would make sense why everyone is having the issue if you just grabbed fresh source code toda, everyone relies on that file. https://www.buzztouch.com/forum/thread.php?fid=BFB7FA1935D8494BC1A158A&tid=BFB7FA1935D8494BC1A158A it's probably not a new plug-in code, i feel like this has happened before with some of the new plug-ins. maybe a different app name, but same issue.

Yes just double click and replace Daviddebug with your name of the project (app) and that fixes it.

Bat signal - awesome! This should be fixed (you'll need to re-download any packages you downloaded before, while it was broken). Problem: All occurances of "daviddebug" need to be replaced with the name of your app delegate. Reason: I blew it. @Crown Solutions has this right...I uploaded some files that were NOT intended for the download server. I'm thinking it has something to do with midnight programming from the frozen tundra of Minnesota! The good news: I've worked about 2 weeks to remove all "warnings" that loads and loads of folks were seeing in Eclipse after downloading their projects. These warnings were related to how their Eclipse environment was setup in preferences - "warning levels" are different for each of us. But, when you download an Android project now you should see ZERO warnings or errors from the compiler. Sweet. And, for the record, I'm still not home. Bogus. It's hard to imagine flying directly over my house 400 miles north of here (I'm marooned in LA for hours and hours) to then sit in an airport waiting and waiting for the seat they claimed I "purchased." How can it be possible that an airline can't get me to Oakland (where I departed Monday) from LA (in the same state) within 24 hours of their promise. Sigh. And I thought software was tough. The airline industry is impossible. Glad I don't have to work in this mess. Oh, wait, I am working in this mess! Ha. Home eventually. Re-fetch your code...bet it works.

FYI @David - Not sure if this is fixed yet but, I say another instance of daviddebug in BT_viewUtilities.jave. I'm running self hosted. The fix to replace with original name works.

Hey guys. I was having slowness problems (especially with map portion) of my emulator. I redownloaded code from BT 10/30/2012 6pm EST. Then got the daviddebug error and now its not working at all. Here is a cut and paste: Description Resource Path Location Type daviddebug_appDelegate cannot be resolved BT_screen_map.java

@Ravencorp: Yup, our mistake (again!). Re-fetch code, should be fine. Error was in BT_screen_map.java Should be OK now. Made an update earlier today and uploaded the wrong file on the download server. Yikes.

update. maybe i have another problem. no error any longer but my app still is not populating bubbles for a native launch of a custom google map URL link. I started a new topic. maybe my map issue had nothing to do with debug?
