Revmob with StoreKit framework

Ever since I started using revmob with the storekit framework where the app store free game opens up inside your app, I've noticed a definite lag between the time you call a revmob free game and the app store game actually appearing. This has been with revmob 4.5.2 and 4.6 sdk, latest xcode and in all the ios 6 simulators and on an iphone 4 test device running ios 6. Are others experiencing this? If so, do guys think it is a problem with the storekit framework? A revmob / storekit integration problem? A buzztouch / revmob integration problem? ------ note: I usually reset the simulator and clean project when seriously testing this. After the revmob appstore call has gone through once or twice before it does then come up quicker.

I have noticed this - it's very annoying. I'm trying to figure out a way to cache the store view but I don't think RevMob allows it. Also I've noticed that the new SDK has been timing out A LOT (i.e. I tap the "More Games" button and nothing happens - it just says "Error ad timed out" or something in the console) It seems as though they're perhaps getting ahead of themselves - I'm starting to lean towards chart boost, if only for the fact that it is extremely stable and fast

Yeah, I've built a plugin for iAP's and it's been in review for almost 1 month and a half. Ugh, wish I could say, just go get my plugin :/.

Yeah, if can't sort this out I might go back to last stable release of revmob - before storekit. Below is an example of Xcode output while the delay is happening. I wonder if it has something to do with the repeating of the line: '2012-10-18 16:06:31.031 triviavampirediariesedition[1474:c07] triviavampirediariesedition_appDelegate: supportedInterfaceOrientationsForWindow' OR this line: '2012-10-18 16:06:31.443 triviavampirediariesedition[1474:c07] Unbalanced calls to begin/end appearance transitions for <RevMobStoreController: 0xad8d820>.' ------------------ 2012-10-18 16:06:26.513 triviavampirediariesedition[1474:c07] BT_screen_menuButtons: menuItemTap 2012-10-18 16:06:26.714 triviavampirediariesedition[1474:c07] [RevMob] Requesting adlink data. 2012-10-18 16:06:28.424 triviavampirediariesedition[1474:c07] [RevMob] App successfully connected with RevMob servers (200). 2012-10-18 16:06:28.424 triviavampirediariesedition[1474:c07] [RevMob] Updating adlink data. 2012-10-18 16:06:28.424 triviavampirediariesedition[1474:c07] [RevMob] Loading iTunes url. 2012-10-18 16:06:28.842 triviavampirediariesedition[1474:c07] [RevMob] Opening iTunes. 2012-10-18 16:06:28.843 triviavampirediariesedition[1474:c07] triviavampirediariesedition_appDelegate: supportedInterfaceOrientationsForWindow 2012-10-18 16:06:31.025 triviavampirediariesedition[1474:c07] triviavampirediariesedition_appDelegate: supportedInterfaceOrientationsForWindow 2012-10-18 16:06:31.026 triviavampirediariesedition[1474:c07] triviavampirediariesedition_appDelegate: supportedInterfaceOrientationsForWindow 2012-10-18 16:06:31.026 triviavampirediariesedition[1474:c07] triviavampirediariesedition_appDelegate: supportedInterfaceOrientationsForWindow 2012-10-18 16:06:31.026 triviavampirediariesedition[1474:c07] triviavampirediariesedition_appDelegate: supportedInterfaceOrientationsForWindow 2012-10-18 16:06:31.027 triviavampirediariesedition[1474:c07] triviavampirediariesedition_appDelegate: supportedInterfaceOrientationsForWindow 2012-10-18 16:06:31.027 triviavampirediariesedition[1474:c07] triviavampirediariesedition_appDelegate: supportedInterfaceOrientationsForWindow 2012-10-18 16:06:31.028 triviavampirediariesedition[1474:c07] triviavampirediariesedition_appDelegate: supportedInterfaceOrientationsForWindow 2012-10-18 16:06:31.031 triviavampirediariesedition[1474:c07] triviavampirediariesedition_appDelegate: supportedInterfaceOrientationsForWindow 2012-10-18 16:06:31.443 triviavampirediariesedition[1474:c07] Unbalanced calls to begin/end appearance transitions for <RevMobStoreController: 0xad8d820>.

It doesn't show an error just the output in my message above... I was just wondering if this output might shed light on the delay time in the app store popping up

Oh, so there's no error, the framework is just taking forever to go to the App Store or do a iAP?

Yeah that's just the App Store doing work. It always takes a second for iAP to come up because it has to validate your app, validate the purchase, validate the user, then check the users account out for a balance or credit cart etc. All while using a SSL which doesn't speed things up. Not your or Revmods fault, just apple making sure nothing weird is going on.

RevMob doesn't have anything to do with iAp's - it just shows ads
