Looking for Webinar presenters!

Hi all - With David traveling to Minnesota, we don't have anything on the schedule this week. But, I know that there are many of you out there that have great information to share with the community. If you'd like to present a Webinar of up to 90 minutes, please let me know and I will handle the notifications and arrangements to get an audience put together for you! Of course, David will be presenting very frequently, and I'm looking forward to working with @GoNorthwest in the near future, but your help would be invaluable. Just post to this thread and we'll get something put together! Thanks!

You know I'm always willing to help. It'd be better for me if someone came up with a topic for me, since I'm already dumping the majority of my brain into the podcast. :)

As soon as work calms down this week (hopefully!), I'm all in! Any thoughts on what people would like to hear about? Mark

I'm still trying to finish up the plug-in building video! A week off might allow me to catch-up with everything..... I think a lot of folks are chewing on that lesson. 1/2 way thru and I'm already building my own hacked version of that EULA. Great vid David. Love that these things are being recorded, thanks Warren@!

So here's the raw list of suggestions from people so far - How the control panel works, technically. Understanding a buzztouch Project - iOS. Understanding a buzztouch Project - Android. Clouds, Devices, Data. Connecting all the parts. The App Business, can you make money? iOS and Android work the same way. Promoting, marketing, distributing your creation. iOS vs. Android Setup of Push Notification (still struggling on iOS after 6 months and no closer to sorting) BT Plug-ins (Do's and Don'ts) App Marketing Strategies Improve BT community interaction Pay Developer Section (Section developers to offer their services for a fee) Introduction of Market Research Surveys on BT What Are BT's Future Plans? Idea on working on a group project Group, Individual Introductions (So we can know more about individuals for networking purposes) Some of those might make great topics to talk about. Also, I really want to put together "Newbie" webinars, things like: Where do I find answers? How do I setup my machine to build an app? Appbuilding 101 - from my first logon to an app in the App Store Frequently asked questions - over and over and over again... I had David signed up to present the Control Panel, but that will have to wait till next week at the earliest. I know he'd like to sit back and let someone else present some of these, and he can participate as appropriate. So you tell me what you'd like to present (one from this list or ideas of your own) and when you'd like to do it, and I will take care of the logistics.

forgot one... the "business" of app creation. What should you charge, what are your obligations to the customer, how to set your customer's expectations, support structure, etc. How to be a professional and not a fly-by-night.

Great ideas. There's a couple on that list that I think I could step right into. (App building 101, Control Panel, Clouds devices data, etc) I'd be able to do the night-time presentation (was it Weds nights?) Let me know when you'd need something.

Love these ideas, my skills are in programming and marketing. So anything that requires iOS programming I'd be more than happy to do or any marketing webinars. Here's my list (if you'll have me): Understanding a buzztouch Project - iOS The App Business, can you make money? Setup of Push Notification (still struggling on iOS after 6 months and no closer to sorting) BT Plug-ins (Do's and Don'ts) App Marketing Strategies I also think a/some webinar(s) on "Plugin Building" may be necessary and I'd love to do some on that. I have an okay-ly open schedule, so just let me know when and I'll see what I can do.

Chris - You pick the subject, date and time. Wednesday nights work best for me (I have the house to myself), but I'm not the presenter. I can setup the meeting and be ready to go within a few minutes. I'm limited to 60 minutes during the work day, and prefer no more than 90 in the evenings to respect other peoples times. Warren

"Monster" - Same as above - you pick the topic and the time. You'll be responsible for the content and what is presented on the screen; I'll handle the meeting setup and moderating it. Thanks - Warren

Warren, Here's what I would propose: I could do a "Appbuilding 101 - from my first logon to an app in the App Store" presentation applicable to using Buzztouch to develop and distribue an iOS app. Since most of the Buzztouch part of this subject would remain the same for iOS and Android, perhaps someone else can do a supplemental webinar which picks up the process of getting into the Android market(s). I could see this as being a very informative webinar that should/could be re-played by every new BT signup. And perhaps get it in a regular rotation to allow newer members to attend and ask questions. I could probably have something together by as early as next Wednesday (Oct 24) for the 9PM time slot (or later if needed). Perhaps Mark would be willing to do the Android version of this (keeping them as separate webinars, but similar in structure/scope)?

Yep, I was thinking of doing a from start-to-finish thing on Android...from install to using Eclipse to publishing the apk. Figure that might take about 90 minutes?

Chris and Mark - That will be perfect! Chris, I will set yours up for next Wednesday the 24th at 9PM Eastern. Mark, let me know when you would like to do yours. You're right, those recordings will be great for people just starting out - I know I could have used it myself! Thanks so much to both of you! Warren

Hi guys, I though of quite a good idea I could adopt. It would simply be how to solve problems and errors in Xcode. I would use some of the problems that I have now, and also some that members get all the time. I can show how to solve them in a way that everyone (hopefully) could understand. I wouldn't mind taking up one of these. I don't think it would be a long presentation, so maybe half-an-hour would do. I think it could be very useful for some others.

I think that would be a great idea! Something similar for Android would be good as well. I'm sure we could cause some errors in an app that we could then "debug" for sake of the webinar. Now just to figure out how to fit this into my schedule! Mark

@Annandale - give me your topic (sounds like "common Xcode troubleshooting") and when you'd like to present, and I'll get you on the schedule @Stobe - that's the way David does it :)

Ok, well I am at the moment organising the Oxford Meetup that will take place on Wednesday 24th October. However, my presentations for that are nearly complete. After my meetup, I will be very busy with things going around at that time, and I wouldn't be able to make it until early November, but we could do it just before the meetup. It would be the most convenient for me, actually. So maybe this very time next week. Tuesday 23rd October 2012 at 07:00PM (British Tine). I have no idea what that converts to, but I'm pretty sure that would be: 2:00 PM US Eastern / 1:00 PM US Central / 12:00 PM US Mountain / 11:00 AM US Pacific I hope I can make it, and I will definitely make a presentation for it!

@Annandale Apps - I will get your webinar scheduled for the 23rd. Thanks so much for doing this! And yes, I believe your times are correct. Would you like me to post your real name as the presenter, or your forum name?

@Warren Alrighty, I'll go figure out what I want to present (probably 30 min before), and can you schedule me for the 22nd and some time? I would've loved the 23rd, but that's my b-day and looks like annandale has it.

My Real Name is Thomas Boyd, and please do use this. Maybe, just to stop confusion, just add in brackets my Buzztouch Name. As Stobe said before, I'll rehearse it half an hour before, and maybe we could just have a quick chat before everything online starts. The thanks go to you Warren Evans. I am thrilled to get this opportunity.

@theMonster - would the following Tuesday work for you (10/30/2012)? You could have the same Tuesday midday slot as @Annandale Apps, and I think your attendance would be better. I'm trying to avoid too many time demands for our attendees since about half the audience will try to be at every one of them. If the 30th is no good, we can still do the 21st. Let me know, and thanks for doing this!
