I'm dying from excitement! I've just successfully connected a textview in interface builder with the control panel (index.php) - thanks to rewinding the "Let's Build a Plug-in!" video about a hundred times, and about failing another hundred times! I know it doesn't sound "big" but it's big for me, I just opened up a huge door for any future plugins I do! Super thanks to @David! Without this "online meeting" I wouldn't have been able to get this done nearly as easy as possible as soon as possible. It was definitely tricky.. but much easier than it looked! Expect to see much more "control" in my future plugins from the control panel instead of just interface builder (both options will be available), but I'm just buzzing from idea's now.. I was working on a Random Number generator plugin when I was able to get this done. I also learned how to create iPad XIB's and connect them - same thanks to that same online meeting / tutorial. Nice work. Super excited to hear this! Esp rewarding when you figure it out after 100 trial and errors! (I'm guessing you were up in the 80's as I know you've been hammering) I think I solved the XIB mystery @ 60 attempts. Super glad David has finally bought into using XIB more now. I kept suggesting that they were necessary so we could follow along with the great tutorials out there. Now look what you can build and use as references with them in the mix. Video Training has been the definate game changer. To be able to watch something a few times is key. If this stuff existed when I was a youngster... Planning to watch that vid soon, bummed i missed the hangout when they made it. David training is just amazing. I smell BTM stepping it up a serious level here. @David_Mollet thanks mate! @atrain When you watch the video, DOWNLOAD it in HD, you're going to need to stop/rewind/forward it a lot, and see the text, which really sucks when streaming (found out the hard way)! Agreed - XIB is almost in every sample tutorial, now that buzztouch has embraced the "technology" I can see developing plugins become much easier. I'm thinking a PDF written guide on how to connect your app to the control panel would be extremely useful too - I want to get that done as my first PDF contribution. Thanks!
