problem with report to cloud url

okay, so I set up my web server to post the config.txt and cloud reporting data. However, it doesn't seem to register the custom cloud reporting url that I have set in the control panel. I redownloaded the source data and recompiled. The BT_config.txt shows the correct url in XCode. But when I run the app through iOS simulator, the console shows: ******_appDelegate: reporting to cloud at : http://www.buzztouch.com/api/app/?command=reportToCloud&appGuid=*****&apiKey=*****&apiSecret=*****&deviceId=[deviceId]&deviceLatitude=[deviceLatitude]&deviceLongitude=[deviceLongitude]&deviceModel=[deviceModel]&userId=[userId] As a result, the server can't tell the app to refresh. Why would this be? Is there a second place other than BT_config.txt that the app goes to for the cloud reporting url?

Hi chris1, Not sure if you've seen it, but this guide by GoNorthWest should help you understand the process a bit better: https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/Understanding_App_Refresh_and_Offline_Apps_v1.0.pdf (Lots of other guides in the "How To's" section of this website as well)

Thanks. That gives a good overview. However, it doesn't seem to address my issue. I believe I followed that guide's instructions when I set up my cloud reporting URL.

figured it out - simply changing the url isn't enough, nor is changing and recompiling. I had to clear the data in the iOS simulator. I'm guessing the more appropriate way to solve the issue would be to change the version number. (Apparently iOS simulator doesn't update the BT_config.txt unless the version number changes).
