Hi Buzz Touch Members, I am not sure this is the correct forum to post but i am posting my problem here. Actually I am having some strange problem. I am able to compile buzz touch app successfully and i am able to generate apk file. This app runs correctly on android simulator. But when i copy this apk file to my android tablet and try to install the app. App informs me about permissions when i start it for installation but after some time, it says application not installed. I am not sure what this error is and why it is happening. i am waiting for the response. thanks

If you just grab the apk file from the eclipse directory to install it you have to go into your tablet settings and allow unsigned content to install. If your exporting a signed apk and not installing then would have to see error.

If you directly run the app into your phone from eclipse then and only then the unsigned app will work on your device. In case you have copied the unsigned apk file to your device memory or on a memory card and then tried to install it, you will get the above mentioned error. However, if you sign the apk with your release key and then copy the signed apk to your device and try to install it, it will get installed properly. I hope you find this info useful.

In order to sign an app with a release key you will have to obtain a keystore from which you can sign the app. You will have to sign the app with your keystore before releasing it on Google Play Store. I signed app using debug key so that i can check it on my device, i am getting same error again while trying to install new apk I am not sure what to do. thanks

Did you install the app on your device directly from eclipse or from your memory card?

I have never signed my app using debug key. I always use my keystore for signing my apps. Though not sure about it i think that the debug key too should work fine for installing app on device.

I have the same problem.. it is maddening! I have managed to install apks (that I created) using the same tablet, and of course, the same method. I really think the BuzzTouch is the best for creation, but this is killing me! A friend of mine installed his app without a problem, but I cannot do it. The app will run on many phones, but not my tablet... The apk starts to install then stops with 'X Application not installed' Thanks for any help.
