Create a project from existing source is gone??

Hello All, It's been a while since I have developed for Android. Since I have been gone some things have changed. I used to load my Buzztouch file via the "Create a project from existing source". It's no longer an option. Can anyone provide some guidance on how to import your project properly now? Thank You!!

Hi @ridgerock, The "Creating a project from existing source" is an Eclipse function that has nothing to do with buzztouch at all. If that option is gone in Eclipse, something must have happened to your your configuration. Run the Android SDK Manager to make sure all your components are up to date. Also check for new Eclipse updates by hitting Help...Check for Updates. When I open a buzztouch project, I use the File...Import...(General) Existing Projects into Workspace, and then navigate to the root of the source folder. That will create a 'buzzTouch' project in Eclipse. You can also do a File...Import...(Android) Existing Android Code into Workspace, which will create a project with a weirder name based on your actual project details. Either way gets you the project loaded into Eclipse. The whole process can be found in this document: https://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/buzztouch_For_Android-A_Users_Guide.pdf Mark

Thanks Mark. I have actually created about 30 Android Apps. I am pretty hip to eclipse but this just through me for a loop. Thank you for the help!!

Ah, cool! I always assume the person is a beginner unless they've stated otherwise. That being the case, have you checked to make sure everything is updated in Eclipse and your SDK Manager? That's always a good place to start. Mark

Have you updated eclipse? Until recently it was File > New > Android Project from Existing Source now it's, File > New > Project > Android > Android Project from Existing Source
