BT 2.0 No sounds in quiz

Hi, I can't seem to get sounds in my quiz in a bt 2.0 app. I get them ok in bt 1.5 apps. The .mp3 files are there. I've tried them in the quiz folder and the BT_Sound folder. No luck. Any ideas? Thanks

Have you added them to the project so they are pre-loaded? As in adding reference to the mp3 in the app delegate file.

Hi MacApple, yeah they are the standard quiz sounds like right.mp3 etc and they're already listed in the app delegate .m file...???

Funnily enough, even though the sound effects I'm trying to use are listed by default in the app delegate.m: /* [self.soundEffectNames addObject:@"basso.mp3"]; [self.soundEffectNames addObject:@"blow.mp3"]; [self.soundEffectNames addObject:@"bottle.mp3"]; [self.soundEffectNames addObject:@"frog.mp3"]; [self.soundEffectNames addObject:@"funk.mp3"]; [self.soundEffectNames addObject:@"glass.mp3"]; [self.soundEffectNames addObject:@"hero.mp3"]; [self.soundEffectNames addObject:@"morse.mp3"]; [self.soundEffectNames addObject:@"ping.mp3"]; [self.soundEffectNames addObject:@"pop.mp3"]; [self.soundEffectNames addObject:@"purr.mp3"]; [self.soundEffectNames addObject:@"right.mp3"]; [self.soundEffectNames addObject:@"sosumi.mp3"]; [self.soundEffectNames addObject:@"submarine.mp3"]; [self.soundEffectNames addObject:@"tink.mp3"]; */ The error reads: 'This sound effect is not included in the list of available sounds: right.mp3'. What am I missing? Hmm

remove the /* on each end Go From this: http://cl.ly/image/0a2g3k1u0630 To This: http://cl.ly/image/0N16023O002A Should work for you now :) The thing you want to remember is that take the buzztouch's sound ( Example basso.mp3 )files from 1.5 and make sure they are in your 2.0 file and xcode. The sounds are on buzztouch's server. You will not able load your own sounds unless you are on your server....but shhh it's a secret :)

If I do that this happens: BT_screen_quiz: startQuiz 2012-10-11 12:13:38.501 appkingz[17655:c07] appkingz_appDelegate: playSoundEffect right.mp3 2012-10-11 12:13:38.526 appkingz[17655:c07] *** Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSRangeException', reason: '*** -[__NSArrayM objectAtIndex:]: index 11 beyond bounds [0 .. 0]' *** First throw call stack: (0x23c3012 0x21b8e7e 0x23650b4 0x8cc9 0x9aea9 0x21cc705 0xb59920 0xb598b8 0xc1a671 0xc1abcf 0xc1a6a6 0xc6f597 0xc7183b 0xb8916d 0xb89552 0xb673aa 0xb58cf8 0x2dc2df9 0x2dc2ad0 0x2338bf5 0x2338962 0x2369bb6 0x2368f44 0x2368e1b 0x2dc17e3 0x2dc1668 0xb5665c 0x483a6 0x26a5 0x1) libc++abi.dylib: terminate called throwing an exception (lldb) Any help on this?

Hi LeonG, You might also have to do the following: 1. Find a BT 1.5 project you've already downloaded (hopefully you have one of these). 2. Find the standard .mp3s that come with those projects, they should be in the BT_Sound folder 3. Copy over those .mp3 files into the BT_Sound folder in your BT 2.0 project that you are having trouble with 4. Now go into Xcode and add those files to your Xcode project 5. Now clean the project and re-run it and you should be fine

No unfortunately I don't have an old 1.5 project to refer to. I am on BT 2.0.
