iPhone 5 Testing

Hey, how can one test apps in iphone 5? are there settings in xcode you can change so the simulator uses an iPhone 5? My xcode seems to only have an iphone 4 on the simultator. Thank you Miguel

You need to download the latest Xcode 4.5 I think

So first, are you using the latest version of Xcode: Version 4.5.1. It can be found on the Mac App Store and can run on Lion or Mountain Lion. (if you're Snow Leopard, then you're stuffed). If you aren't, I don't think you'll be able to get the iPhone 5 simulator. If you are using the latest version, it's fairly easy. Just select Hardware, then Device, and then you'll find iPhone 4 inch Retina listed there

Hey, Im on Lion and I think I have the latest Xcode Version 4.5 (4G182). It worked just as you described. I googled it and just found workarounds that messed with Xcode, and it didn't feel right. So easy. Cheers to that. Thanks guys, Miguel
