The executable was signed with invalid entitlements issue

Hi Guys, Here is the thing: I recently move from Buzztouch control panel to self hosted. I am now rebuilding my apps on my self hosted control panel. The build went well, all works on the simulator but when I try to instal on my iphone i get the following message: "The executable was signed with invalid entitlements. The entitlements specified in your application’s Code Signing Entitlements file do not match those specified in your provisioning profile. (0xE8008016)." Do I need to delete my current provisioning profile and start with a fresh one? Any pointers would be welcome. Thanks, Farcat

Hi Farcat, It's hard for me to say exactly what's wrong, but here is a link to GoNorthWest's guide to "Submitting your App to iTunes Connect". Section 6 deals with code signing. http://www.buzztouch.com/files/howtos/Submitting_Your_App_To_iTunes_Connect_v1.0.pdf If that fails check out the iOS Developer Library page for "Creating and Downloading Development Provisioning Profiles" http://developer.apple.com/library/ios/#documentation/ToolsLanguages/Conceptual/DevPortalGuide/CreatingandDownloadingDevelopmentProvisioningProfiles/CreatingandDownloadingDevelopmentProvisioningProfiles.html

Hi Parker, Thanks for your reply and the links. I was doing everything right as far as the Provisioning Profiles were concerned. The problem was caused because i already had the same app using the same bundle identifier installed on my phone. All I needed to do to solve this issue was to delete the app on the iphone. So, now I have another issue you might be able to assist me with. I am Building for Archiving and I get the following warning: "warning: iOS deployment targets lower than 4.3 are not supported (current IPHONEOS_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET = "3.0", ARCHS = "armv7 armv7s")." As far I understand I have the Architectures setting right: Architectures: armv6 armv7 Base SDK: Latest IOS (IOS 6.0) Build Active Architecture Only : NO Supported Platforms: IOS Valid Architectures armv7 armv7s The error might be caused by the last line, on my other apps it reads armv6 armv7s. If I overwrite it manually it throws up 70+ errors. Any thoughts please? Thanks, Farcat

I believe you will need to change your Deployment Target to iOS 4.3 from 3.0. It appears to be a necessary requirement when using Xcode v4.5.1 or higher. See: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3461 Look back through those guides above where you set it to 3.0 and change it. Those guides were written before the latest version of Xcode was released. If this doesn't fix the issue please get back to us.
