A few errors in which I'm struggling to fix! :(

So I have published my app 'aus visa' to app store fine :)... now for android. Having a 'few' troubles though. Got the list down to 4 errors but have no idea from here... been searching like mad for the last 3 hours but no luck. Errors are shown in the below screens (eclispe Screenshots): 1. descriptionView cannot be resolved or is not a field - (http://db.tt/gbY4N3HP) 2. menu_list_rowsimpleadvanced cannot be resolved or is not a field - (http://db.tt/krFYZhiM) 3. The public type BT_screen_menuListSimple must be defined in its own file - (http://db.tt/1f2jfKdx) 4. The type BT_screen_menuListSimple is already defined - (http://db.tt/ka1ZsQjM) All help greatly appreciated! Thanks, Ben

Hi Codemenot, As far As I know: The menulist simple advanced is not compatible with Android. Look at the official plugin market on buzztouch and find a menu that is working for both Android and iOS. Delete those files in your Android project. Maybe it's best to make 2 different apps in your control panel: 1 for Android and 1 for iOS (just a suggestion) Best Regards, Danny

Howdy CodeMeNot, I bet your self hosted with the Menu Simple Advanced plugin from BTmods? Let me know if I'm wrong! :))) This is what I do to get it running ... 1. Download the source and unzip 2. Delete these files src/com/appname/BT_screen_menuListSimpleAdvanced.java src/com/appname/BT_screen_menuListSimpleAdvancedBackup.java res/layout/menu_list_rowsimpleadvancedBackup.xml res/layout/screen_menulistsimpleadvanced.xml res/layout/screen_menulistsimpleadvancedBakup.xml 3. open eclipse and import source as per the instructions.pdf 4. open the BT_fileManager.java file 5 Do a search and replace on the above file. Replace sparrakortenandroid_appDelegate with yourappname_appDelegate

Hey Danny, Another aussie. Nice! Thats a shame about that. I will look into it further, I thought I saw some people who managed to get it working... maybe it was different plug in though. As you can see from my IOS app (http://www.ausvisa.net/how-it-looks.html) I use this plug in a lot :( Thanks for the input!

Thanks ictguy, Yep, I'm actually hosted through the 10 bucks a month set up David offers. Can I ask (may be a stupid question) but if I am using this plug in, will deleting those files essentially remove the plug in from my app? in turn it not working? Thanks again, Ben

ahhh damn, I have over 230 pages in my app. Is there a way to essentially copy the app?

Just checked out the app - good job! Yes, the app will no longer have that plugin. Someone mentioned somewhere that they had it working on android but I am yet to see anyone reproduce the steps to get it running!! If I where you I'd wait a week or two because I'd imagine that someone must be getting that plugin up and running on the official BT? That's my bet at least - the iOS is done and the Android needs some work... good opportunity for a coder among us ;)

@codemenot, Sorry I'm not an aussie. I was helping someone out with a problem but forgot to log out (on his name) So I accidentially posted an that name. I know that some people managed to get the plugin working but no one publicly shared the working plugin. To recreate this for android (lots of screen) have a look at a new plugin that came in the store: https://www.buzztouch.com/plugins/plugin.php?pid=57852D3DE0C71B9F1ABF624 and watch this tutorial video to see it in action. Best Regards, Danny

@Danny I thought that was a good answer from someone with 16 posts :) LOL The json snippett keeper (listen to the recent buzzcast podcast) would be ideal but he'll need a working screen first I'd think. Cheers Darrel
