My New Website - I would like to get feedback before publishing

Hi Buzztouch Members, Prior to launching my first app, Berlitz Oxford, I have had to be create a new website for my App Company (or so Apple says). I basically need it for my Apple Developer profile. So far, I have managed to squeeze in the website of the person I'm doing it for, however, it does not include any support and even he says that I should make my own for the support website. So with my previous website designing skills, I set work to create one for my so called company, called 'Annandale Apps'. So before I publish it to a proper domain, I thought I should just get a few reviews on it and any views on improving the website. And what better place than the Buzztouch Community? Here is the website address: www.annandaleapps.tk This is only temporary and will be replaced by a better domain in due course. I have tried to make it a very simple design. It's mainly white and grey. Please note if there are any errors that come up. i have only tested this on my iPad, iPod Touch and my iMac. I haven't tested it on a PC yet. So what do you think of it? I would like to know your view on it so it can be the best when coming to publishing it. Thanks, PS: This is my 200th post!

Looks good, clean and effective. The site performs quicker and the slider works more smoothly directly on DropBox than it does in the iframe though. It's a bit slow loading the iframe data in Firefox and the slider is a bit jagged, same with Chrome. Haven't tried IE and don't intend to! I assume that when you publish to your domain directly the minor points above won't be an issue. From a coding point of view, it would be more efficient to have the css in an external file rather than inline. Easier for you to make changes and less code to render. No big deal though. Congrats on 200th post!

Very nice website! Just the right amount of information gracefully displayed. The images loaded slowly on my iPad.

I do admit that at the moment the website is running slowly. This is due to the fact it's published on Dropbox at the moment. I hope when I publish it to my FTP, the site will be quicker and fast. Dropbox is always slow for previewing websites. Thanks for the feedback though. If its slow after publishing to my FTP, then I will need to look at some coding tricks.

Hey Annandale Apps! Site is little slow to load but you already know this :) Other than that its looks amazing! Love the graphics. Mind me asking how you developed those graphics? Was it a template or did you do it from scratch? I have a site up for my app ausvisa.net and would love to chuck something like that in the 'about the app' section. Thanks, Ben.

well, I used iWeb for making the site. I didn't use one of the standard templates, I just started with the standard white template and got rid of everything, so it was just starting from scratch. So it wasn't a template, I did build it from scratch. It didn't take that long to make, a few days, but I got inspiration from other websites and sources. I wanted it to be simple, so I chose white with grey. iWeb is a standard iLife app, but has been discontinued, so if you don't have it, I don't mind sending it to you. For the slider, I used WOW-Slider, but I used a bit of code to remove the watermark. Everything I made was free, but of course will cost money once I buy the domains and hosting. That's why its pain-akingly slow at the moment. Dropbox is not a good website host, but is ok for previewing a website. @ CodeMeNot: I think your website is being restricted by using Weebly. I don't want to sound harsh, but you could really benefit from dropping Weebly and starting with iWeb. One thing you might want to include as well is having the screenshots inside the device.
