Permission to use screenshots from plugins ??

Hi there I was just catching up on @Stone's BuzzCast, the episode about business and presenting well etc. What I would like to use, until I have developed a decent portfolio, Is the screenshots that are provided in the plugin store, to show prospective clients the different types of screens "I" can include in their app. What are the developers of those plugins thoughts on that? Thanks

Hi kaybee, I don't mind if you use my screenshots. Would be nice if you make reference to the plugin. Best Regards Danny

There's also to think for: If you reference/link, they might find buzztouch and decide they don't need you. (but they really do!) I'm guessing if you show them the plugin screenshot and they like it, you'll buy it, so, almost like free advertising. Should not be a problem either way you decide for my plugin screenshots. My advice to you is to create a demo app. Put every type of screen (and plugin) that you plan to use in this demo app. And make them pretty (colors, BG images, etc). This serves several purposes. First, you get to learn the process before pitching to clients. Second, you can put the demo app on a device and show the client a real working app (that helps, trust me). Third, you want to have a good idea of how long it takes you to develop with BT before quoting any prices to potential clients. You will certainly under-quote your first client. But you will soon learn how much you need to make in order to make it worth your while.

Stobe has some excellent points. Make an App that shows well and 80% of the sale would have been accomplished. In my case I just need to find someone to do the 20% that remains.... :)

Feel free to use anything from my plugins or apps. I am working on an app "sales" website that might be helpful. See http://whitebuffalomobile.com.

Thank you! I am getting ready to announce the new business. (I put it on the back burner for a few weeks to focus on plugins.) I have asked for feedback, and the feedback I've received is exactly what you all talked about on this string. Before I announce, I plan to put a portfolio together of projects I have done and put together an demo app that demonstrates all of the capacities. Lots to do!
