Just a heads up: the Device info page has a black background with black text, so esencially you can't read anything on the page. Otherwise, it looks great!!

Thanks, @Kaybee! Thank you, @Dkeller! Already fixed it. Thank goodness the Apple reviewer didn't notice it.

Nice looking apps! I love apps like these because they are so relevant to an activity that I might be engaged in. I love being able to pull out my phone and find exactly the info I'm looking for! Mark

Thanks, @aussiedra! I forgot to fix that. @Sheri, Thank you for testing Android for me. With all of the devices, you never know what will happen. Not sure what you mean--can you search on your Android? If I hit the search button on my Galaxy II, nothing happens. It is just a dead button. My Galaxy Player doesn't have a search button at all. Since we don't have search set up in buzztouch, I think that is what we want to have happen, so need to find out why it is crashing. BTW, I went to Best Buy last night to see how my apps look on the Android tablets. Thebackground images are missing, so I have more to figure out. I think the answer may be in putting images in the drawable-hdpi folder.

@Susan Android tablets are funny...wouldn't mind getting my hands on a Nexus though. Guess will have to make lots of money to have testing device shrine like our fearless leader. Congrats on being app of the week you are awesome!

Thank you all so much! Anyway, no RSS feed was involved--it was all manual entry. But, that is the beauty of buzztouch--with the control panel, you have a way to do manual entry. I am trying to figure out the issues with Android larger size screens for this app and another. I went to Best Buy to look at my apps on their tablets, and the backgrounds are missing more often than not. I believe some of the large screen sizes for Android go to the tablet functions. I think the solution has to do with loading creating drawable folders for tablets. If anyone already knows how to do this, let me know. Otherwise, when I figure this out, I will post.

That's exactly it. One interesting symptom is that a larger Android phone that really is more of a phone than a tablet is using the Large Screen data instead of the more appropriate Small Screen data. For example, the Droid Razr Maxx, which is really a large phone, is using the Large Screen settings even though it is more similar to an iPhone than to an iPad. Does anyone know where in Android the app decides the device should use the large screen vs. the small screen settings?

Like the apple products, not only do we have screen size, but pixel density. Add on top of that this only starts at OS 3.1 and higher. xlarge screens are at least 960dp x 720dp large screens are at least 640dp x 480dp normal screens are at least 470dp x 320dp small screens are at least 426dp x 320dp I am in the process of tackling this right now for an app as well. I need to see it on more devices to really know what is what. I think I have given up on making it look perfect all on screen sizes, and pick the most popular and go with that. It is a compromise at best, but with how fragmented the Droid market is, it might be one we have to make.

Hi, @Crown Solutions! I just sent you an email on this, wondering if you thought it would be good to fit in a trip to the Android lab when David is in Minneapolis. It's free for one hour. See the website at finalpass.com.

Lovely app Susan, I love the scrolling film strip menu feature. Very original. When you say it's not rss, but all manual, do you mean its all in a html doc. thanks.

Good question. The text documents are either html docs or custom urls. Sadly, I had to make them all myself, but I could do a lot of cutting and pasting. Next year I hope to work with the web developers so they can make mobile sites to include, so I don't have to remake them. The film fest decides on all of the content at the last minute, so there has been a mad scramble to get the content in place on the website and in the app.
