Xcode build failure for more than 3-4 days now

I recently posted on the forum about my problem with the update to Xcode 4.5. It is recognizing errors in my project when I try to run it on the iPhone simulator 6.0 . I solved 26 errors already but there are still two remaining this is the code causing the problem [body appendData:[[NSString stringWithString:"@"Content-Type: image/jpeg ""] I was told to add the " before the @ symbol as well by Xcode Now the errors remaining are stating that there is an expected : . and the second error says apple llvm compiler 4.1 error, as a result of the missing : . can someone please help it is a really annoying thing and a hindrance for me to carry on. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi armacfan, Just something worth to try out. What happens if you make the line look like this? [body appendData:[[NSString stringWithString:@"Content-Type: image/jpeg"]]; Best Regards, Danny

Sorry, has to be [body appendData:[[NSString stringWithString:@"Content-Type: image/jpeg\r\n\r\n"]]]; Look at the extra bracket. Have you also tried to re-download the source code from your control panel?? It's not a normal behaviour that you get so many errors. Are they really errors (red color) or are they warnings? Best Regards, Danny

This has just happened since the update to Xcode 4.5 . I opened the project and my previous ones too. I tried to run them on the iPhone sim. 6.0. It displays 26 warnings and 2 errors, the 2 errors are as follows for this part of the code : [theAdView setCurrentContentSizeIdentifier: ADBannerContentSizeIdentifierLandscape]; }else{ [theAdView setCurrentContentSizeIdentifier:ADBannerContentSizeIdentifierPortrait]; it says use of undeclared identifier ADBannerContentSizeIdentifierLandscape and use of undeclared identifier ADBannerContentSizeIdentifierPortrait maybe if i solve these two errors at the beginning i can ignore the warnings if possible ??

I'm not worried about my new project, its just my older projects that I need to fix because those cannot be redone with buzztouch as they're already published apps. I can redo my new one but I need a fix for the older ones.. and yes i deleted my project , re-downloaded it and opened it with Xcode 4.5 but it still reopened at the same place i closed it and with the same errors i have no idea what to do right now....

What I meant was that you need to re-download the source from your bt-control-panel. I can't seem to read through the lines if you've done that. It doesn't matter if your app is already in the store. The code is optimized for the new iOS so to be (fully) compatible you have to update your code = redownload source code. Best Regards, Danny

Can you post (some) screenshots of the errors that you're getting? Maybe also the logfile? And what if you delete these lines: [theAdView setCurrentContentSizeIdentifier: ADBannerContentSizeIdentifierLandscape]; }else{ [theAdView setCurrentContentSizeIdentifier:ADBannerContentSizeIdentifierPortrait]; Best Regards, Danny

you could put hem on dropbox, google drive or http://imageshack.us/ (or send them by email to the address below.) Maybe another option can be to send your zip-package to info at bt-addons dot com so I can check/test on my computer (on iOS SDK 5, haven't installed 6/0 yet)?? Best Regards, Danny

Thank You so much @PSMDanny I had two errors in the start when i launched it nd after doing this it has stopped but i get more warnings.. my only question is that does it matter if i want to fix these warnings or ignore them.. will i be able to validate my app etc even if these warnings are still present?? Anyways at least now i can build my app and run it on the simulator.. Thank you so much..!!!

Hi armacfan, You're welcome. As far as I understand are warnings not critical to get your app approved (if I'm wrong please shoot me). But if you can solve them it's always better. Show the warnings here, or in a new thread. Maybe someone is able to solve them too. Best Regards, Danny
