what else besides TestFlight?

I've tried using TestFlight for a few clients now and as simple/easy as it is to use for developers.... end users - not so much. the 2 step dance of 1) register your device 2) wait until you receive a message to install Is not working. clients are too impatient to wait for second message and it seems invites/notices keep ending up in their spam as well. Too many steps, too many messages and too many failures. Leaving bad impression with clients. App testing is a MAJOR first impression. This has to work better. The BT OTA Server is great, but I have to obtain the UUID first. I've used YARG to get this, but that still anyone else using TestFlight with success or have any or any alternative testing services that have worked well?

I use TestFlight, but mostly with a sales team within our company so helping them with the steps may be easier. As far as getting the UDID, I have had success with using the app UDID Sender.(free) Have the person download it and then they use it to email you their device info. I think it is easier then having them register their device with TF.

I use one of the free UDID Apps the client installs and emails me the UDID. I use Diawi.com to distribute the APP and provisioning file. Has worked well so far. Mike

I had the same problem. It took me awhile to figure it out but getting the other people on board was a headache. After several emails back and forth trying to get testflight working I looked for another solution and found this: https://www.pieceable.com/ It lets you upload the .app file then provides a link to a simulation of your iPhone app online. It's not as good as having the app on an actual iPhone but it did what I needed it to do. Josh

@Josh, I use a similar service called Kickfolio.com, does the exact same thing - love it! @atrain, I know EXACTLY what you're saying, the SAME stuff occurs when I use it for clients - SUCKS! Horrible impression. I'm thinking of going Josh's route to avoid test flight. It's a little slow at times, but even that leaves a better impression. Cheers, David buzztouchmods.com

Thanks for the replies. glad to see i'm not the only one thinking testFlight is a excellent service but hard to use in the real world. I tried Piecable, great idea/concept but they gave you a 1hr window to test the app. I asked about some account upgrades and they stuck hard on the $30 per month. Kickfolio - looks like the app already has to be on the market to use it? Diawi - This looks promising. Thanks for the heads up on that. Will be giving it a test ASAP.

I use SuperSend (The Beta Family) for sending my apps to my clients: http://www.thebetafamily.com/supersend/ Still you need the UDID, but The Beta Family collects that for you, and I think a real test is the only way to show my clients how the app is really preforming. Mockups and services like pieceable will not give you the full picture.

Wow, very nice looking site and appreciate the offer. I just signed myself up as a developer. But I'd also love to be a tester as well. I don't have any apps I want reviewed right now, but i think lots of other BT users cold use a few more stars. We all want to understand that elusive rating system better at Apple. Curious to see how your service handles UDID's with iOS and installs. Site looks great and really well done. Best of luck with this venture and happy to help out if I can! and just followed you at @elusivestars :)

Thanks for the flattering feedback! Currently we do not have dual role accounts - you can setup an additional Tester account but need a separate email. I am expecting several iterations regarding how we handle UDID's with the obvious goal of making it simple for Dev's and Testers. Right now the UDID submission to the site is manual but we are quickly changing that.
